Y/N almost fell off the chair in shock. The body was suspended with worn rope and its head was positioned in such a way that it was tilted forward, hiding its facial features. The hair, or what was left of it, was the same colour as a certain friend she knew.

Venti.

The hands were bruised and the knuckles were bloody. His clothes were ripped and dirty, and the skin was pale and resembled porcelain. Y/N began screaming. She couldn't help it. The head lolled back and forth as if Venti was merely sleeping.

Rosaria walked in, looking slightly annoyed. Or maybe that's just her resting face.

'What are you - Oh. That. I guess I could get rid of it for you.' Rosaria sighed as she went to tug Venti's body out of the rope.

Y/N sat still, paralysed with fear as Venti's body landed on the ground. His eyes had been gouged out so there were simply empty holes in his eye sockets. His lips were smeared with blood and his nose looked broken.

Y/N gagged in the chair, her eyes widening. Rosaria stared at the body for a bit, then shrugged. She took Venti and placed his head back into the rope. Carefully adjusting his head so Venti's soulless eye sockets pierced the back of Y/N's head.

'Master told me not to move the body...' Rosaria muttered.

Venti's lips were curled upwards like he was innocently smiling. Y/N couldn't bring herself to look behind her, so she stared straight forward, trying to ignore the fact that there was a dead body behind her. Rosaria sighed then brought out a pair of scissors she had. Y/N flinched, but she began to cut the bindings Y/N had been enclosed in.

What's happening. Why was Venti... And why is she getting me out of here -

Rosaria stood back up and looked at Y/N.

'You can't leave. But, maybe explore for a bit. You don't have to hide from anyone. It's not like you can go anywhere.'

Y/N stood still, her mind in a blur and he whole body feeling like lead. Her head dully pounded as she swallowed bile.

Rosaria simply turned around and left the room.

Y/N didn't know what to do. She collapsed back onto the chair, then got up immediately as if it had electrocuted her.

I can't stay here. Not with Venti...

Y/N slowly walked out of the room, looking straight forward.

It's just a body. It can't hurt you. It's going to be okay...

Y/N began walking down a long corridor. There were several rooms on either side of the hallway, but she couldn't bring herself to enter one. That was, until, she heard someone talking from a room near the end of the hallway.

The girl slowly made her way to the room. She knew Rosaria has said she didn't need to hide, but Y/N was just being precautious.

'...and that's how we ended up here.'

'I expect no one has noticed you?'

'Not that we know of.'

I know that voice.

'Good. Now, please leave for now. Make sure no one escapes. Especially those two.'

'Alright, sir. Thank you for your time.'

Y/N heard footsteps approach the door and the girl began sprinting away as fast as she could. As she turned around the corner, Y/N caught sight of the person who had left, confirming her suspicions. It was the second traitor.

Y/N had no idea what to do. She couldn't do much so she began just aimlessly looking around. It was a pretty large building, something that resembled a 5-star hotel. Most of the rooms were empty and looked like small hotel rooms, with beds and small lamps. It felt unreal.

'Y/N?'

Y/N froze, then slowly turned around.

'You don't seem surprised to see me here.'

Y/N nodded, staying silent.

'You were listening to our conversation, weren't you? I saw you running away. You really should pay more attention in your PE lessons.'

Y/N looked away.

Why are we talking about this - And why are you...

'You should have realised by now, right?' They continued.

'I'm part of this. I thought it would be obvious. But, I guess your intelligence isn't exceptional. It's unfortunate, really. It was simple. It all was. I gained your trust. And, I guess I've shattered it now, haven't I?'

They smiled. Y/N couldn't say anything. She realised how shocked she really was. They had been so nice to them, to everyone in fact.

Y/N heard footsteps from behind her. It was Kaeya, once again.

'Ah, Lisa. I was looking for you.'
