Lisa gave Kaeya a small smile as she continued her conversation. Y/N's mind spun into a blur of thoughts.

If... she's here... then why did she tell me to look out for Zhongli? He's part of this too, isn't he? It doesn't make any sense...

'Anyways, Y/N, please come with me. Kaeya indicated for her to follow him.'

I guess I don't have a choice.

Y/N was taken to yet another room, this one that was actually not too bad. It was rather plain but it contained a bed, table and even a small wardrobe.

Kaeya shoved Y/N into the room and slammed the door shut right as he did so.

'What are you - '

Click.

'Oh.'

The door locked and Y/N sighed collapsed on the bed. So much was happening.

Was everyone simply going to school, like everything was normal? Last time, Zhongli had killed Venti as an excuse so...

But even so, wouldn't people think anything of these murders just randomly happening? How long has this been going on? When can I get out of here and stop all this? Why couldn't they have kidnapped someone else instead? Xiao had a reason, right? The eyeball...

Are my parents okay? I don't know where they are... or what they're -

There was a slight shuffling sound and Y/N noticed the piece of paper slipped through the crack of the door and the floor. Y/N groaned but went over to pick it up.

Dining room, today. 5 pm.

Oh. So, I guess I'll just have to find it. Maybe they'll have some answers, or I can find things out,  or something. I don't know. But hopefully...

It was after a while Y/N started to get bored. There was a large clock on the wall that displayed the time, and it seemed to be around 4 pm. Still, an hour to go. She began just doing nothing in particular until she fell asleep, to be woken up by a certain woman.

'Hurry up. You're late.' Rosaria grumbled as she shook Y/N awake.

'Sor - '

'I don't need your apologies. Now hurry up.' Rosaria left the room, leaving Y/N to look blearily at the clock.

It was 5:04.

It's not even that bad...

Also, where is the dining room anyway?

After a couple of minutes, Y/N found the room and slowly opened the door. She froze, simply shocked at what she saw. There was a long, rectangular table that ran from the end of the room to near where Y/N was standing. Seated at the table were several people, wearing different outfits, yet they all had a mask covering their faces.

They were all plain white, with streaks of colour painted on them, along with holes for the eyes. they stopped at the bridge of the nose, so the mouth area was completely free. A single person sat at the very end of the table, who wore black and gold robes with a black mask with golden accents to match.

All heads turned to Y/N as she shakily approached the table. It was horrifying to see so many masked figures watching her every move, but soon she silently sat down in an empty seat.

'Let us begin.'

The person at the end of the table with the black and gold robes began to talk.

'We have reached what I have hoped for, yet you have not exceeded my expectations. There has been a number of deaths that could have been prevented. Any clarifications?'

'Master, I apologise on behalf of everyone seated here. It has been an unfortunate loss to us all, these deaths - ' A certain person began to speak up, who Y/N recognised as Kaeya due to his blue hair and clothing style.

'That's not true at all. If you paid a little more attention, you would've realised that those deaths hadn't affected us directly. It affected people knowing about this whole thing, to begin with.' Rosaria let out an exasperated sigh and Y/N knew she was rolling her eyes under her mask.

'Kaeya, please shut up if nothing you say will make sense.' The man at the end, who Y/N decided to call Master for simplicity, gave a small nod to which Kaeya turned away, annoyed his usual way of words hadn't paid off.

'Master, I - '

A person Y/N didn't recognise began to speak up.

'No. Please stay silent.' Master cut them off. 'I thought out of all of these people, you wouldn't be so stupid as to - '

'But she has.' The person continued talking and indicated to the woman next to them. Lisa looked confused.

'Master, I would never do something like that.' Lisa smiled.

'Ask the girl then.' The first person who had spoken up indicated Y/N.

Master sighed and looked at the girl.

'Tell me. Who is this?' Master pointed at Lisa.

'That's... Lisa. A teacher I know.' Y/N didn't know whether she should have added 'Master' or not, but she kept silent as to not possibly embarrass herself.

Master's face flickered to Lisa's who gave a small smile in return.

'I... may have... had a slip of the tongue...'

Master frowned but waved his hand dismissively.

'It cannot be undone. But, you can wait.' He indicated the anonymous person.

They nodded. They mainly wore white clothing with hints of silver and blue. Their hair was let loose to fall over their shoulders.

Someone else began to open their mouth to say something. Until there was a piercing scream that rang through the room.

Y/N stiffened up, looking terrified. The scream had been almost animalistic, and she heard more screams emit from somewhere.

'Ah. It's done.' Master gave a small smile at Y/N's stunned face.

'Y/N. Go with one of us to find the source of those screams.'

Y/N looked around the table.

'Um - '

'Pick one.'
