Spraying cologne on my body I look at myself in the mirror. It's been a couple of days since Brook started her job again. We went back to talking as if I hadn't admitted I wanted her. I understand though; she doesn't want to hurt Connor and I can't compete with the love she still has for him.

Putting down the cologne I make my way downstairs. Violet invited me out to eat dinner with her. Still wanting to keep this professional I told her I would think about it. Since I'm not dating anyone right now, I told her I would see how this first dinner would go.

Once I reach the last step I see Brooklyn whipping up something on the stove. She's making two plates of food. I forgot to tell her I'm going out tonight.

She turns towards me, and her eyes connect with mine. "Hey." She smiles and tilts her head. "You going somewhere?" She stops and rolls over to me..

"Yeah, I'm having dinner with a coworker." Holding my arms out I smile "Do I look good?"

"Yeah. A little to good for you to be going out with a guy." She snorts.

Looking down I bite the inside of my cheek. "It's not a he," I add.

Brooklyn

My heart drops at his honesty. He's dressed up, has on cologne, he even did his fucking hair. There is no way this girl is just going to be a coworker after tonight.

"Oh." Lowering my head I turn back towards the kitchen. Rolling to the food I pick up his plate.

"Sorry! You made all this extra food for me." He walks up behind me and I take a deep breath.

I made all this food as an apology for the other day. I wanted to kiss him, but Connor and Stephanie could have pulled up to that school at any time and saw the both of us.

"It's fine. Leftovers for tomorrow." Turning back towards him I look up at him. "You better get going, don't want to be late." I smile.

"Alright." He smiles and grabs his keys off of the counter.

He starts walking to the door and I let out a sigh.

He stops and turns towards me and I bite my bottom lip. "Hey, you okay?" He asks.

"Y-yeah." Trying to hide my feelings I turn away from him again.

His footsteps inch closer and closer. "You sure Brook? You don't look okay?" He turns me towards him and I don't look him in the eyes.

"Y-yes Ian I'm fine." Sighing I don't look at him.

"Brook do you not want me to go?" He lowers his voice. My eyes connect with his. He starts to smirk. "If you don't want me to go just say the word and I won't Brook."

"Ian it's not that. I just." I look up into my eyes. "I want you to go have fun, but I feel irritated knowing its with another woman." Running my hand through my hair I add. "And it's not my place to feel like this."

He grips my hip and lifts me out of my chair. Pressing my lower back against the counter and trapping my head in his hold. "It is Brook. I wouldn't want to see you with anyone else right now either."

"Just say the word Brook and I won't go on the date." He whispers in my ear. Closing my eyes I tilt my head back.

"Please don't go Ian." Opening my eyes I see the lust in his. He smiles and lifts me up into his arms.

"Okay Brook." He makes his way up the stairs.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"I'm taking you to your room and fucking you Brook." He growls.
