Chapter 20 – First Date

Authors note: Sorry for the long delay, but I got caught up in other things. I hope you like this chapter.

No One's POV

Tori had just started to toss the salad, when the doorbell rang. Looking at the clock she could see it was 6:51.

"A bit early tonight." Tori mused, with a happy expression.

Tori put down her tongs and rolled herself to the door. Then the Latina opened the door and with an expectant smile and gazed at Jade who was standing in the doorway.

Tori's heart immediately skipped a beat.

Jade was standing there wearing nice shoes and a simple but nice black dress with skirt. But more than that, for probably the first time she saw Jade wearing makeup and her hair had been done in broad curls. Tori was simply blown away. Jade had said, since she lost her sight, she rarely wore make up as it was pretty hard to put it on when you can't see.

"My god Jade. You're beautiful." A surprised looking Tori said.

Jade smirked and put her hands on her hips. "You mean all the other times I wasn't beautiful?"

Tori immediately got flustered in embarrassment. "Oh...um...I don't...yes...."

Jade put her head forward and leaned over. "I'm just shitting you. Now kiss me."

Tori leaned forward and happily planted a nice kiss on Jade's lips. Just doing it, sent a jolt of pleasure all through her body. Jade felt much the same way.

Jade stood up and smiled. "To answer the question that's running through your mind. I had Cat help do my makeup and hair. I wanted to look very nice for you. I take it, she did a good job. Because, if I look like a circus clown, someone's going to have an accident."

Tori backed up and turned her chair around. "She did a splendid job. You look like a beautiful young woman and not so much a hint of clown. Come on in please. The table is set. I just need to finish tossing the salad."

Jade, who was holding it in her hand and put her cane out in front of her and slowly guided herself to the table and sat down.

"So, do you look nice? Or are you cheating and wearing sweats?"

Tori laughed. "Actually, I didn't bother to get dressed at all." In reality Tori did wear a nice dress. Granted she knew Jade would never see it, but she wanted to look nice regardless.

"Vega, you really know how to hurt a girl don't you." Jade said in jest.

Jade could hear a radio playing 70's music in the back ground and suddenly the old song Kung Fu Fighting came on. "Oh god I love this song. My mom used to play it all the time."

The next thing Jade could hear was Tori singing along to a rather old one hit wonder by Carl Douglas

"Everybody was kung fu fighting."

"Those cat's were fast as lightning."

Before Tori could get to the third line, Jade had already started it.

"In fact, it was a little bit frightening"

"But they fought with expert timing"
