Chapter 1

Anne's POV

I woke up "I guess I fell asleep in The Planters basement" I said to myself I didn't remember that I did I went upstairs for breakfast "Good morning Anne" Sprig said "Morning Sprig" I said I remember one thing about last night I was thinking about getting a new job but I didn't know how to tell Hop Pop but after eating a bit I got the courage to tell him I swallowed my food then talked "Hey Hop Pop" I asked "Yeah Anne what is it" he asked "Working on the farm isn't doing it for me, I was wondering if I could take another job" I asked thankfully Sprig and Polly knew about this "Anne you can take another job but why isn't working on the farm doing it for you" he asked I knew he would ask that "I don't know, I just think it's a little hard for me"I said "We can make is easier for you if you want" he said "No that would break the tradition for The Planters...I'm sorry Hop Pop" I said "No need to be sorry Anne if you want to change jobs you can change jobs but come home in time for dinner" he said "I don't think my new job will bother dinner time" I said "It's okay if you're late and if you come home after dinner just make sure you eat, I don't want you to starve" Hop Pop said "Thank HP I'll try to make it back before dinner" I said finishing my breakfast I rushed out the door and went around trying to find a job I went around town most frogs weren't hiring then I was looking at a shop I was wondering if I should go in and ask the shop keeper but some frog tapped me on the shoulder "Yeah" I said turning around a dark blue frog stood there "Hi the name is Captain Burt but just call me Burt" he said letting out his hand for me to shake I shook his hand "Why did you tap my shoulder" I asked we stopped shaking hands "I can see you're looking for a job and I wanted to see if you were interested in the job I have for you" he asked "I might be interested what's the job" I asked "Get ready for Monster Hunting, we track down monsters, get them, and then we contane them in a prison where the won't get out also sometimes we kill them, we kill the ones who are hurting the environment and other amphibians lie toads or newts so you want in" he asked then he took out a clipbored and a pen was on the clipbored "You just sign here" he said holding it out to me "I don't have much job opportunities so why not...my name is Anne Boonchuy by the way" I said signning the paper "Good you see that building over there go there and get your stuff also check your room it should be on the paper work I just sended it to the front, don't worry about the frogs and toads in there they just look at newcomers from time to time" Burt said "Ok" I said "You can call me Captain now since you're part of this job" he said "Got it" I said then I walked over to the building and went in I just didnt make eye contact with the others I went to the front, I saw my name I was room 122 I went straight up to my room new clothes where there for me and got them on and tthen I wanted to wonder around so I walked around for a bit I saw a infirmary, a food court, a weapon room, and a monster arcaive I when in the monster arcaive I checked out the beginners monster book it tells about every monster you should know about before you get started on taking them down, then I went back to my room to read them but I was interrupted by Burt saying something on a itercom that could be accesed from anywhere "All monster hunters please report to the presention room I have a announcement to make" I quickly got up from my bed and out of my room I ran downsairs and bumped into Burt "I'm sorry Captain Burt" I said "It's ok Anne can you come with me to the presention room" he said "Sure is your announment me" I asked "Yeah pretty much I just want to make sure everyone knows you and repects you, you kind stand out being a human and all" he said "Yeah thanks" I said then we walked into the presention room "All monster hunters you have been newcomers before and I made you be repected from everyone else and me now I hope you try to repect our newest monster hunter Anne Boonchuy" Burt said then he turned his head to look at me and he order me to come forward I did everyone gasped for the sight I'm a human "Now I hope you try to show repect for her I choose her because she was looking for a job now let's repect her and make her feel at home" he said everyone cheered he turned around and walked away with me "By the way I forgot to tell you, you can go home if you want you have a bed in your room but if you need to go home you can" Burt said "Thanks" I said he nodded and dissmissed everyone some frogs came up and started tallking to me "Are you the only human in Amphibia" one asked "I don't know I'm the only one I know for now" I said "How do you feel about this job" another asked me "I feel good and with your surport I know I'll do good" I said "Do you know about some monsters in Amphibia" another asked "No not really also I gotta get hoem sorry guys I'll see you tomorrow" I said then I walked away I ran back to The Planters' before dinner I opened the door "Hey Anne did you find a job, I can see by your outfit that you did" Hop Pop asked "Yeah I did but I was looking for awhile also don't worry I had lunch" I said "Good can you tell us what job you got" Hop Pop said "Monster hunting" I said "That's cool did you start yet" Sprig asked "No I didn't even get to read a beginer book but tomorrow I will" I said "Good" Sprig said then we ate dinner and I went to sleep back in The Planters' basement.
