Chapter 8

Anne's POV

I woke up and got ready right away the momment I walked out I saw claw marks on the wall I thought it was werid the wall didn't have claw marks when I went to sleep I think it happened when I was sleeping I wonder if anyone knows about this I went over to it and studyed it then I heard Marcy come out of the guest room behind me she walked up to me wondering what I was doing "What are you doing Anne" she asked me I stood up and turned around "I'm studying these claw marks they weren't here yesterday and they must had happened when we were sleeping" I said then turning back around and going back down on my knee "Y-Y-Yeah must have happened when we were alseep what kinda monster do you think it is" Marcy asked me "I don't know it could be anything like a Exter or a Foxter they have claw marks that look like this but I don't know it could be something else if it happened inside the building then the monster got inside but then that would mean the alarm got deavitved or it glitch letting the monster in the buillding I'll do a building check" I said "Ok I'll wait for you downstairs" Marcy said I ran upstairs to the top did a building check then went from floor to floor I saw nothing a couple of claw marks but they looked the same I checked the first floor nothing then I found a door I opened it and it lead to a basement I didn't know we had a basement I tried to truned on the lights but it didn't work I guess I have to go in this werid dark basement that I didn't know we had I noticed that I had a flashlight in my belt Burt gave everyone a flashlight in their belt when they become a monster hunter I grabbed my flashlight outta my belt and turned it on now I could see the steps I walked down carefully and saw a light in the distance I walked towards it and saw a picture ripped from the same claw marks "I know this picture it's Burt with a buch of monsters in the background I think the same pcture is upstairs but how did it get down here" I asked myslef then I heard someone behind me I turned around and shined my flashlight where I heard the sound it was Burt "Captain you scared me" I said "Yeah I thought I did I'm sorry" he said "It's fine why are you down here" I asked "I could ask you the same thing Anne" he said "I saw claw marks like these on the floor my room is and wanted to see if there was a monster around" I said "No monster I saw the claw marks this morning as well so werid I don't know why but they look like Marsafur claws did this but I'm not sure if it was a Marsafur" he said "What about this painting" I asked him "The painting is the same painting upstairs but this one is said to be painted by a copyright artist who doesn't care if he askes or not he gave this painting to me and said this painting might look like the one upstairs but it had somethinng else to it I didn't wanna be rude so I took it in and put it down in the basement because it wasn't the original whenever I look at this painting I always think of that copyright arttist and he was a little rude he actally was a comrad of mine until he deciced to let out the most dangerous monster the Curtor, the Curtor was strong held in the amphibia monster prison of Newtopia we went there to do one thing talk to the king and he let it out it took a long time to kill he ran away the day he let that monster out he hid in Wartwood where I lived he tried to cover up his identity but I knew it was him when he stole me this painting he said he was an old friend and wanted to give me this painting so I could forgive him but I don't" he said "Wow" I said "I know now it's destoryed I don't have to worry anymore" he said 'Worry about what" I asked "Worry about that old comrad coming back to hunt me he died 15 years ago before you were born and his last words were the painting I painted was a cruse if you don't destory it before 20 year from now I will hunt you forever" he said "He put a cruse on it" I asked "Yeah...maybe you should study these claw marks a little bit figure out what made these" Burt said "Yeah I was thinking that to" I said "Ok I leave you to do your thing" Burt said walking away "Thanks captain" I said "Yeah don't metion it" he said then walked upstairs I stay studying for awhile I knocked a jar on the floor with my foot I kneeled down and took two jars I saw some claw dust and scraped some off it was fresh I took some off and put them in one of the jars and then I saw some fur green fur and black fur I took some off from the painting and put them in the second jar then I headed back upstairs I ran to the study room I got out two jars, put both of them on a table with a migafinglass, sat down on the chair, I grabbed the jar with the claw dust in it and put it on the glass, I slid the glass to look, I looked into the glass and saw something pointing out the monster that did this it showed me black fur, then I took the glass with the claw dust out, I put the dust back into the jar, I grabbed the jar with the fur in it, I opened it and put some fur on the glass and slid it threw, I looked and it showed me dna for the Marsafur the Marsafur did this, I ran to Burt telling him about it then showing him, he was surprised so we increased security for a few days after that I trained then got ready for bed I went to the guest room to hang out with Marcy a little bit before going to bed I was laying next to her on the bed "Hey Marbles" I asked "Yeah Anna-Banana" she asked "Do you think we'll catch the Marsafur" I asked she paused for awhile "Y-Yeah I do why" she asked "I don't know just asking" I said "Ok" she said we stayed laying there for awhile just talking and laughing then I went back to my room and went to sleep I siad goodnight to Marcy don't worry I did I slept surprisely good but I woke up a 5:20 to hiting sounds from the wall it rumbled threw out my room I waiting for it to stop it did after about 20 minutes it didn't pick up again so I tried to go back to sleep I did after a long time it was about 5:45 when I fell alseep
