White Wraith's POV

I paced across the roof fearfully.

I remember why Superman had looked so similar when I saw him at the fair. He looked just like the guy who was following us!

The same guy, who turned out to be a reported for the Daily Planet. And was the boyfriend was Lois Lane, who was the lady following us at the fair! She lied about her boyfriend having a work emergency because he had been there just moments before her!

So if Superman was there, and Mr. Clark was there. And Ms. Lane was lying about Mr. Clark and Superman-

Which means that Superman was following me!

I've been getting away with this for two years, without ever coming into contact with anyone except Batman, how did Superman find out?

I mean, Batman definitely didn't tell him. He promised he'd keep everything a secret, and he's a superhero, so why would he lie?!

Plus, someone tried to kill me yesterday! And I was definitely the target! Who knows my identity!?

Other than Batman, obviously.

And why was Lex Luthor getting all up in our business? No way he and Jack were just friends. Obviously he wants something from us, but what the heck does a rich guy want with an orphanage unless he knows who I am?

But how would be know who I am!? And why would that matter to him anyway? It's not like I have ever went after him. Only Superman does that!

I paused. What if he thinks I'm working with Superman!? Or wants to blow up the orphanage because he thinks it will hurt Superman's huge sensitive hero heart!?

I turned and looked over at Lexcorp, which was sitting high in it's place across the Metropolis sky. Daunting. Powerful.

Not Jack's friend.

I snapped my fingers to blend into the roof before starting to run across of it.

I jumped across the rooftops until I reached one that was too tall and had to take the streets.

Nobody noticed the almost silent sound of my feet tapping against the pavement as I ran toward Lexcorp. It was an easy run, I've been running back and forth across Metropolis for the past two years.

I smiled as I thought about how small my range had been in the beginning because I couldn't get very far on foot.

In fact, the first person I ever helped as White Wraith was an old lady trying to cross the street. She tripped and fell before the curb when a distracted driver was turning.

It wasn't a big deal, but it was my first save. That made it special.

I arrived in front of Lex Luthor's building and saw that it was closed for business. Which makes sense because it's the middle of the night right now.

There were two guards watching the entrance and... wow, a lot of cameras.

I snapped my fingers and watched as a black limo pulled out from around the corner. It stopped in front of the building and a fake Lex Luthor stepped out.

Almost immediately, the doors opened of their own accord and I followed the illusion inside.

A woman walked briskly over to us and looked at Mr. Luthor.

"Mr. Luthor. I thought you said you would be in your office for the rest of the evening. We didn't even notice you leav-"

I cut her off by making the illusion hold out his hand to silence her. He glared and then continued walking as if he was in a bad mood.
