Madison's POV
"Madison!'
I jerked up, my eyes wide.
Clark flew up onto my bed and wrapped me in a hug.
I gasped, my breathing quickening as the events of my dream played over in my head.
"It's okay. It was just a dream.
Was it... a dream or a memory? It seemed so real.
And I had been with Klarion again. Talking to him about ice cream favors on the old orphanage rooftop.
It didn't seem like a dream or a nightmare, but it was so clear. So real.
"Want to talk about it?" Clark asked.
I scooted back and looked at him.
"You remember me telling you about our side of the adult-kids missing battle?" I asked.
"Yes." He said, frowning, looking almost angry.
"Well, he kept calling me Addie and Addison, and talking to me strange. I thought it was because we had talked the night before and he misheard my name but..." I trailed off, thinking.
"But? Whatever it is, you can trust me." He said.
"I know, but I'm not sure. I just had a dream about Klarion, and it was so real. We were talking about ice cream favors on the orphanage roof." I explained.
Clark stood up off the bed and looked away.
"Clark?" I asked.
There was a moment of silence.
"Madison, there is something I need to tell you." He said seriously, turning back to look at me.
I looked at him in confusion, "What?"
"During the training simulation, you snapped and made smoke." He said.
"I know, Batman told us." I replied.
"But we didn't tell you that it was real smoke." He said.
I paused, "I can't do that."
"Yes. You can. And that night after you fell asleep, Klarion came in and threatened Lois. He wanted to tell us about you. He said your name was Addison and that you had been friends with him and Vandal Savage before he wiped your mind." Clark explained.
I froze. Friends with Vandal Savage? Making real smoke? Friends with Klarion? They lied to me? Did the team know? Was I the mole? Why didn't they tell me? Why-
"Madison. Calm down. Your heartbeat is too fast. Listen, we know you aren't working with them. We wanted to figure everything out before we dumped this on you, but if you're getting your memories back, it means that Klarion did something when he shot you. It means he has some plan and you need to know everything we know." Clark explained.
"You don't think I'm the mole?" I asked.
"No. Besides Wally, you're the person the team thinks is the least likely to be the mole." He told me.
I sighed.
"We'll figure this out, okay?" He said, putting his hand on my shoulder.
I nodded, looking down.
How could I have been friends with villians like them? I've heen trying to be the perfect hero for half of my life, when did I go wrong?

I pulled the hood over my face more and sighed. Clark was already off to the Daily Planet and I was two minutes late to the cave.
