this is back in tim's point of view

_

She ran out of the doorway in a blur.

Maybe it wasn't her that was blurry; maybe it was my eyes with a film of tears.

How could I do that to her when she was already so broken?

I shoved Ella off me and stood up, gripping my head in my hands. My fingers dug into my scalp, enough to hurt.

Ella looked down shamefully at her feet, pulling on her shirt and shoving her bra inside her handbag that sat on the kitchen bench. "I'm sorry, Tim." She said. Her hair curtained her face, before she shook it away and looked up. Her eyes were dark. "Good luck. I'll um - I'll see you around."

And with that, she left too.
