"I FEEL LIKE I owe you something." the female brunette admitted, her hands resting on his chest while his own were on her hips, admiring every inch of her.

"you never owe me anything, char. stop thinking like that because it's not even true."

"then why do i feel like it is true?"

"because you're you." daniel chuckled, pressing a small kiss to her forehead, watching her blush begin to appear, almost as if he had done that for the very first time that day. "and i know that you."

something about daniel was different compared to his old self. he seemed to care more for the brunette, seemed more trusting when she couldn't bare to leave his arms.

he was his old self whenever he was wit her, just an updated, preview model that nobody else in the world saw other than her.

"daniel?" she paused, her eyes meeting his as he noticed the distinct look of stress yet also happiness. "i love you."

"say it again." he replied with eagerly, pulling away from their shared kiss briefly, reattaching once he heard the three words once more.

"jesus, dan." she giggled, pulling away before things got too heated between them.

"i love you." he mumbled against her skin, leaving neck kisses in a small trail up to her jawline, wanting to reminder her that she was his.

"i love you too." the both of them had a lazy grin on both of their faces, him humming in response before burying his head into her neck, burrowing himself deep in her scent.

strawberries and lilac. it was an odd combination when he first had gotten at least a single whiff of her fragrance, yet it was majorly from her body care routine, not a perfume.

there was something aching in the back of each of their minds. what if they found someone that they love more than one another? what if they were never meant to be? what if everything they had was all pretend?
