NICO POV:
"Can I stay with Will till he's done?" I ask Officer Walker hopefully.

He rolls his eyes playfully, "Go get him lovebird." He winks at me causing me to turn red.

Walker helps me limp back into the hospital room where Will already sitting in the bed and the nurse is preparing her little cart thingy. I realize with a jolt in my stomach that he's down to his boxers and T-shirt. I feel butterflies in places I didn't want to be feeling them right now.

"Want me to stay with you?" I ask chewing my bottom lip and trying not to stare. I hadn't even considered if Will would want me there, especially considering he's half-naked.

He breaks into a wide grin, "Of course."

Walker helps me over to his bedside then walks back out as Will reaches out for me to hold his hand. His moms sitting in a chair behind me watching and making me very uncomfortable.

"You're gonna have to stand there forever, just sit down with me," Will says.

"Okay," I sit down on the side of the bed like he had done for me. I face up towards his head so that I won't be too tempted to watch the nurse or look at anything thing else that I shouldn't be staring at.

"Everything okay with your dad?" Will asks, looking at me with concern. "You two seemed to be having a pretty heated conversation in. . ?"

He pauses and I realize I've never told him I'm from Italy. "Oh Italian," I tell him.

He nods, "I thought so, sometimes you slip into an Italian accent when you're upset or tired."

I feel the heat rise into my cheeks again, "I do? I thought I got out of my accent."

He smiles, "Not completely clearly, but I think it's cute."

This causes me to turn even more red, which makes him smile even more.

"Alright I'm about to start," the nurse says, "Do you want me to give you a warning when I'm going to poke?"

He shakes his head, "No, I'll jump if you do."

"Your braver than me," I say feeling embarrassed, "I still jumped."

"Needles haven't bothered me since I was a kid. I learned to just not look 'cause I don't like seeing my own blood," Will explains. "But it's a common fear, don't be embarrassed."

Sometimes I wonder if he can read my mind, it's creepy how he always seems to know what I'm thinking. I look over and see the nurse pull out a huge ass needle tube.

"Santa Merda, that's a huge needle," I curse.

"Was that Italian too?" Will asks, confusing me because I wasn't speaking Italian.

"Was what Italian?" I ask quizzically.

"You said like santa merida or something like that," he says with no Italian accent, making me cringe.

I blush, "Oh santa merda, it means holy shit. I didn't realize I said it in Italian."

"Oh you do that all the time," Will says nonchalantly like this was old news.

"I do what!" I exclaim. "I do not! I speak English all the time!"

"Yeah, but sometimes you say some things in Italian. Usually, I think it's when you're cursing though, so I thought you did it on purpose. Sometimes you pause like you're trying to remember a word and then say a few in Italian so I have to just kinda play fill in the blanks."

"Jesus, I didn't even know. I guess my English isn't as good as I thought," I say embarrassingly. This explains all the times I've been talking to someone at a store and they look at me all weird and have me repeat myself two or three times.
