WILL POV:
"It'll be fine I promise," I say, kissing the back of Nicos hand.

He pouts, "I don't want to go in."

"Unfortunately we have to, we've already missed the first week of school love," I remind him gently.

He sighs dramatically but opens his car door and gets out. I do the same and we grab our backpacks from the back seat and head inside. Nico carries both of our backpacks since my back and ribs are still a bit sore, but he still holds my hand as we walk.

As we get my locker Percy and Jason find us and cheer excitedly. "You're alive!" they both say in unison as if they planned it.

"Mostly," Nico grumbles under his breath, letting go of my hand so I can hug them.

They're both very gentle when they hug me back which I appreciate because while I'm definitely feeling almost normal, a hard hug from one of my best friends definitely would not have felt good.

"We've missed you dude!" Percy says, grinning widely.

"Schools not the same without you two," Jason adds, smiling as well.

"It was probably less eventful," Nico says blandly.

"Exactly!" Percy exclaims, "It was boring!" Percy is staring very intently at Nico and Nico just staring back. Finally Percy breaks, "I really wanna hug you right now."

Nico glares and sits there staring at him few about thirty seconds, "You get 2 seconds, don't squeeze."

Percy's eyes light up and he immediately hugs Nico before he can change his mind. Even though it was short and Nico didn't even hug him back Percy looks absolutely thrilled with himself. He turns to me, his eyes gleaming. "He let me hug him!" he says, like I didn't just watch it happen.

I smile, "He did. I think your growing on him."

He fist pumps the air.

"Can I hug you?" Jason asks hopefully.

Nico huffs and rolls his eyes. "Same rules, yes."

Jason grins and hugs Nico quickly. He then repeats the same thing as Percy, looking at me like he's a child who just did something amazing. "He likes me!" he whisper yells, causing Nico roll his eyes.

"Don't let it go to your heads," he says gruffly. Nico turns and gets the books from my locker that we put in there a couple weeks ago during the locker assignment day and then we move on to his.

All day Nico carries my bag to all my classes, and then snaps at me when he sees me carrying it out of the room for the classes we don't have together.

The day goes smoothly, with only a few teachers and friends asking me how I'm doing and how I feel. Nico and I got exempt from the little bits of work we missed while we were gone.

Nico throws our backpacks into the back seat as I get in the drivers side. When he gets in himself he slams the door shut and slumps down in his seat. "I fucking hate school," he snaps.

I smile, reaching over to grab his chin and pull him in for a kiss. Nico melts, wrapping one of his hands around my neck and kissing me back softly. I pull away smiling, "Feel better?"

He nods, blushing furiously. "Yeah," he says softly.

I drive us home with Nicos hand on my thigh since I need my right hand to drive since my left arm is broken. He keeps rubbing his hand up and down my thigh absentmindedly but it's honestly feels really good.

When we get home and upstairs we both collapse on my bed with a big dramatic sigh. Nico immediately crawls over to me and curls up into my side. "I hate school," he says again.
