NICO POV:
The meds made me feel kinda weird the first week I was taking them but I adjusted quickly. Will had to keep reminding me to take them every night or else I would forget.

Tonight though Will is dragging me to another party at one of Percy's swim team friends house. This time it is a late night barbecue so at least there is gonna be hotdogs and hamburgers there to distract me from how badly I want to drink. Walking into the house we are immediately hit with loud blaring music and I clutch Wills hand at the sudden ear intrusion.

"Is it too loud for you?" Will asks me quietly, leaning in to say it into my ear so no one else will hear.

"I should be fine," I say, giving him a reassuring smile.

We find our friends all sitting on the back patio with a few other people. When Percy sees us he shows us that he saved us a seat to make sure we could sit with them.

"Thanks!" Will smiles brightly sitting down and pulling me into his lap. He wraps his arms around my waist and puts his chin on my shoulder.

I roll my eyes and mumble fondly, "Clingy."

"You know it," he grins kissing the side of my neck.

"You guys are so cute it makes me sick," this girl I've never even seen before says, flipping her curly blonde hair over her shoulder. "I just love gay people."

"Thanks?" I say a little awkwardly.

"My cousins gay, so like, I'm a total ally!" she adds.

"Good for you," Will responds quite awkwardly.

She grins like she just said the nicest thing in the world, and thankfully someone else changes the subject. It doesn't take long for me to be able to fully relax into Wills arms, only popping into the conversation a few times.

"Do you want anything to drink?" a guy named Malcom asks Will and I.

"I don't drink," I say, then turn to Will. "You can drink if you want, I can drive home."

"Okay," Will smiles kissing my nose.

"There's soda too," Malcom tells me. "I can get you a regular soda and him a vodka soda?"

"That sounds good, thank you," Will says.

The guy leaves and comes back with two solo cups handing them to us. "I put a sharpie mark on yours Nico so you don't accidentally drink Wills," he says kindly.

"Thanks," I say taking the cup.

I find it strange that suddenly there's a couple guys who pulled up chairs right next to Will and I but don't think to much into it when they join the conversation easily. Will is slowly nursing his drink and by the time I've drank all of mine he's only 1/3 done with his.

"Do you not like it?" I ask him.

"It's just really strong," he tells me.

I nod in understanding, "You could go put more soda in it to make it taste less alcohol-y."

"I don't wanna get up," he pouts, holding onto me tighter.

Percy rolls his eyes, "Give me the cup. I'll do it."

Will grins and hands it over, "Thank you!"

"Spoilt," Percy teases as he leaves to put more soda in Wills cup.

"Shouldn't your boyfriend have done that for you? He's clearly the girl in the relationship," some random guy smirks.

I deflate a little, sinking into Wills lap more as if that would be able to hide me and not just help prove his point. Wills arms tighten around me protectively as he snaps, "He's my boyfriend not my slave. And neither of us are the 'girl in the relationship', the whole point of a gay couple is there's no girl."
