Chapter 7: Before, During, & After the "Date"

Hunter's knocking on the door and I hear my mother answer. "Hey, is Madison here?" Hunter asks. I rush down the stairs into the doorway and reply "Yeah, I'm here. C'mon in." My mom opens the door wider for him to come in and closes it. "Nice to meet you, I'm Shannon. You must be Hunter?"
"Yes ma'am, that's me."
"Awe, well my daughters had a big crush on you for a long time and-"
"MOM!! Stop!" I interrupted. I saw Hunter giggle. "Well, are you ready?" He asks with a big smirk on his face. I nod and we leave the house. "Sorry about my mom... She's weird." I said.
"Haha well, don't worry it's okay. "Okay, well where are we going?"
"That'll be a surprise for me to know, and for you to find out." I blush and nod my head. "I want this date to be good for you." Hunter says. In my mind I was thinking... "Date? Haha why me? But seriously, date?" I just go along with it and not say anything. We rode around until I saw where he took me. "We're at BW3's!" (Buffalo Wild Wings)
"Yes we are. I hope you like this place."
"Like this place? I love it!"
Hunter just smiles as we walk in through the door and opens it for me. As we enter I spotted a table near us where I saw the girls I didn't like. "Oh no." I murmur. "What's wrong, Madison?" Hunter asks.
"Them." I whisper.
"Who's "them?" He asks.
"Those girls... Their Devils! They're always trying to make me feel bad." "Well, don't worry about them. And if they say anything to you? Let me talk. Okay? I don't want this to ruin our date."
"Okay, well I hope not. Don't be too harsh." "No promises." He says.
As the waiter brings me and Hunter to our booth by the TV in the corner, surprisingly, they came towards us.
"Well, well, well, isn't it beauty and the beast. Why are you with this ugly thing?" One of them ask Hunter.
"In case I have you know, she's the beauty and your the beast. Why can't you leave her alone? She's with me now so go on somewhere. She doesn't need disrespectful people like you and your little "friends" to sit here and bring her down. You need to leave her alone. You better be lucky she's here... Or else I would of said more. Now, get outta here!" Hunter yells. They looked so terrified and ran out the door. "Wow, Hunter... You stood up for me. Thank you so much. That meant a lot to me. I hope they're off my back now." "No, thank you. I need to put people in their place so they won't mess with you. You don't deserve that kind of negativity in your life. Especially them three. Their nothing but trouble. They look really prissy and look like stuck up snobby, little brats. Don't worry about them. Just tell me, and they won't bother you again." I couldn't help but get up and give him a huge hug. The waitress comes over and says "Wow, you stood up for your woman. That's the kind of boyfriend you should be lucky for. Anyways, what would you like to drink?" Before I could speak Hunter says. "Thank you. I don't like it when people mess with her. She's way better than that and she's beautiful, inside and out. And we'll both take a Pepsi." So the waitress left to go get our drinks. "Hunter, do you really think that?" I blush.
"Yes, because it's true. Your beautiful Madison. Don't forget that. And don't listen to the people who say otherwise. Their jealous." The waitress comes back with our drinks. "Here you go, would you like to order now or do you need a minute?" "No, we'll be ordering now." Hunter says. So Hunter orders our food and the waitress comes out with it 10 minutes later and we eat. After we're done the waitress comes back with a bill and Hunter pays it. "I hope that wasn't too expensive.." I say I'm embarrassment. "Oh no, it wasn't." He says. After she takes his money we leave and it's around 7:00 pm. "Care for some coffee?" Hunter asks. "As always." I reply. So we head to the same Starbucks we met at the other night which was 5 minutes away and we go inside. As we were ordering our coffee, we noticed a couple arguing. After they left in anger me and Hunter sat down. "Gosh, I hope that's not me one day." "Not Us one day." Hunter says. "What do you mean? I ask. "Madison, notice how I didn't deny what the waitress said earlier about us being together? Well, I wouldn't mind that. I wouldn't be embarrassed to hang out with you. I want to be the one who can stand up for you. And if I get my ass kicked, than so beat it. Your worth it. All of this time we've spent together, I've been liking you more and more. And if this keeps happening, I would like for us to be more than friends. So, what do you say? You really don't know how much I like you. I've already told Sam and Devo about you. From what it seems, they think your pretty cool too. You're an amazing friend, Madison. And I would like us to be something more soon." I couldn't help it but I started tearing up a bit and accidentally let a few years out. "Awe Hunter, that means so much to me. I would honestly like for that to happen too. You're an amazing guy. I'm so lucky to have you in my life. I'm glad I bumped into you at this place. I hope whenever your near town, that you'll come and visit me and have us hang out. Thank you for everything. Thank you again for standing up for me. I couldn't thank you enough. Thank you lord for bringing Hunter Hayes into my life! " I say proudly. "And everything I said was true. And yes, I will visit you as much as I can. We can Skype and message each other everyday. And I'm sorry to say this is my last day because I have a show in Atlanta. But tomorrow, I'll try my hardest to make it a good day you won't forget. Just get up early because I want a full day, not an evening. And wear a bathing suit. I'd say be ready by 9:00 tomorrow morning. Is that okay? I just want this to be good for us." " yeah sure, anything. I love spending time with you." We left about 10 minutes later and he drove me home. By the time I was home it was at 10:00 pm. Once we got into the driveway he went out of his car and opened the door for me and led me to the door. As we were walking to the door we have a conversation that didn't last long. "Madison, thank you for tonight. I really appreciate it. And I'm so happy I saw you. So happy I got to hang out with you and get to know you better. Thank you." He says grabbing my hands and kissing them both. Then I look up and he's leaning in for a kiss. I accept it but surprised about it at the same time. After that I give him a big hug closing in the space we've had in between us. "Thank you for everything." I say. He lets go and says "Don't forget about tomorrow. And bring another pair of clothes." He says then walks to his car and pulls out of the driveway. When I got inside, I went upstairs into my room and put my PJ's on which was a Dan + Shay concert shirt and Hunter Hayes pants. I pack up my beach bag and set up my alarm for 8:00 tomorrow morning. "Thank you Lord for being Hunter into my life." I say. And then went to sleep a couple of minutes later.
