Luke

Kenzie didn't say anything else, just leaned against Ashton not wanting to say a word, so we stopped pushing it. "I can go get some ice," Michael offered and Luke nodded.

"Why don't you go back to bed?" Ashton offered, but Kenzie shook her head. "Darling, you gotta get some rest,"

"My stomach hurts," Kenzie mumbled. With that, Ashton quickly picked her up and brought her to the bathroom, and immediately she threw up in the toilet and Ashton held her hair back. Once she was done, she started to cry again in pain, which broke our hearts.

"Is it your stomach?" he asked and she nodded. I nervously stood in the bathroom, not having a clear answer on what to do, so Ashton made the executive decision. "Luke, why don't you take her to your room?" he suggested and I nodded. I picked her up and carried her bridal style to my room, then carefully laid her down on my bed.

"Don't leave," she whispered and I moved her hair out of her face.

"I'm right here, I promise," I told her softly. "What can I do?"

"Lay with me, please," Kenzie whispered and I nodded. I laid down next to her and brought the covers over us. Kenzie put her head on my chest, listening to my heartbeat as she started to drift back to sleep. Michael quietly came in, giving me an ice bag to place on her stomach, then left. I gently placed it, which made her instantly wake up with fear.

"It's just ice," I whispered quietly, which helped her relax. She placed her head back on my chest. Instead of falling back asleep, she stayed awake listening to my heartbeat. "You can go back to bed, it's alright," I reassured her. Kenzie still stayed awake, just laying in silence with me until the door slowly opened. We looked over and Alex came in with Calum following.

"See, she's right here," Calum whispered, "she didn't leave," I sat up as Alex walked over to the edge of the bed and climbed up, laying his head against her as tears fell down his face.

"What's wrong Ali?" she asked, wiping his tears.

"I wanna stay with you," he quietly said.

"Alright," Kenzie nodded, placing a kiss on top of his head. Calum left, leaving us in my room resting. Alex had quickly fallen back asleep, which left me and Kenzie up.

"You're good with him," I told her, making her smile.

"He's my baby brother, I would do anything for him," Kenzie said.

"I can tell,"

"My dad has never laid a finger on him" Kenzie said, playing with Alex's hair, "I never let him,"

"That doesn't change the fact that he laid a finger on you," I reminded her. Kenzie just shrugged and avoided eye contact. "Alex said something bad was going to happen Saturday," Luke said and I shrugged.

"I don't know,"

"I think you do," I stroked her hair.

"Can we not talk about this right now?" Kenzie whispered and I nodded, respecting her decision. Pushing her wasn't going to get anywhere.

"Alright, get some rest," I said and she nodded. After a while, she fell asleep along with Alex and I followed shortly after.
