Shuri POV:

I knew my brother figured it out as soon as I met his eyes. Years of seeing his different expressions have led to this very moment, you see.

So, when it came time to tell the story, I decided to leave nothing out.

"I first met Soph over a poorly veiled online dating app for LGBTQ+ tweens, and it all went from there.

We met in person a few years back and started officially long-distance dating. Soph has superpowers, so when she asked me to help her make a super suit I gladly agreed.

She left her phone in one of the pockets I'm assuming, and since she got sick she couldn't contact me, leading to this mess."

Sophie nodded from my lap, ignoring the surprised outbursts from everyone in the room except my brother.

"What might your powers be, then?"

"So far I know that I can read minds, levitate stuff, instantly translate languages, and push my emotions onto others. Not sure if there's more or not because each of them popped up when I needed them to save my butt."

"So, you're already an established superhero?" Steeb asked, an eyebrow raised in dad curiosity™ .

"Albeit an underground one, yes. Lynx, if you've heard about her. I mainly patrol at night and try to avoid conversations with citizens."

Bonky nodded in approval, causing Soph to smile. Even though I couldn't see her face, I could feel the positive energy practically BEAMING off of my girlfriend.

This definitely wasn't where I saw myself being right now even so much as a week ago, but now that I was here, I never would have it any other way.

Epilogue:

Panthress and Lynx raced each other across the rooftops while on patrol, racing over to visit the triplets in their new condo. Rex, Bex and Lex had all gotten much happier under the care of Kesley and Julene, the sweet lesbian couple taking Sophie and Shuri's civilian identities under their wings as well whenever they came to visit more normally.

Bex waved from the window as they passed by, mouthing a quick 'Happy New Year!' silently so as not to wake up their siblings. Waving back to the girl, Lynx did a flip to cross over to the other side of the street, running along the edge of the building with all her senses on high alert.

It had been a bit more than a year since the confrontation, and both of the cat themed heroines had been able to not only interact face to face much more often, but even go on patrols and attend fancy functions together.

They had the whole future in front of them, and well, if they just so happened to go on and get married, adopt and raise a gaggle of superpowered children, and make the world a better place- that would just be lovely, wouldn't it?

All in due time, but for now, all they wanted to do was race the rooftops together.

What type of story should I make next?

I have a few dozen KotLC crossovers in my brain, I could make something with Encanto (watched it recently, 10/10 love but they all need therapists), I got so much cute gay/poly ideas, OR I could finish CWH before making any new books, but that might mean the only other posts are my meme dumps. IDK, let me know what you think.
