Captain's Daughter

Steeb is a good dad.

Steve POV:

I knocked on the door awkwardly, then called into the room. "Sophie? Do you want to talk? It's okay, we aren't upset."

There was a scuffling sound from the inside of the room, and the door opened to reveal Sophie, swimming in an overly large sweatshirt. Before we can even say anything, she runs an arm over her face and says 

"I know, it's silly that I ran away, seeing as like, 95% of your friend group is part of the community and the other 5% are both supportive and scared of Nat. Still, I used to live with pretty big homophobes, so..."

I pulled her into a huge hug, and Bucky joined a few seconds later. As the small girl cried into my shirt, I felt protective of her. 

She didn't deserve those people, she didn't deserve to be left, she didn't deserve whatever horrors she had run into on the streets, but I would help her now.

If I can fight in a war I can help my daughter, and I don't have to do it alone.

Sophie POV:

I was texting with Shuri when she asked a question that made me freeze.

ShurSassy: Sophie, what are you thinking about?

I KNOW you have some sort of plan

SweetSoph:Okay, you know about my powers right?

ShurSassy: I already know where this is going

SweetSoph: And?

ShurSassy: I know you're stubborn, so I'd rather be in on it

I can add a bunch of safety measures to your supersuit.

SweetSoph: I know that resistance is futile.

And you're great with fashion too.

ShurSassy: Color?

SweetSoph: Does purple and black with a little bit of silver sound good?

ShurSassy: Stealth, but also highlights so you don't get hit by a car.

I like it

You won't be as easy to find

SweetSoph: I don't know what to do for a hero name, though

ShurSassy: Hmm

Well

I'm in training as Panthress,

And we're dating

Maybe Tigress?

SweetSoph: The cat theme does sound cool, 

But maybe we can brainstorm more?

There's a children's villain named Tigress in a TV show

ShurSassy: Good point

SweetSoph: *drumroll, then trumpet fanfare as confetti is tossed*

SweetSoph: YES

ShurSassy: And because I am slightly evil and cliche

I will add ears and a tail to your costume

SweetSoph: I trust your judgement

ShurSassy: The best idea, love

SweetSoph: Ok I should probably go to bed now... REMEMBER TO SLEEP, LOVE
