Steve POV:
Maybe we should have asked more questions before signing that paper... no. I would never want her to go back in the system that hurt her this badly, would I?
Eventually, Soph came into the living room, wearing a furry onesie with a pocket on the front. Strange, considering she had threatened us earlier, not to mention how small the backpack she had brought was.
A fight had broken out over what to watch, and I sat next to Buck's feet silently wondering why.
Sophie plopped down between Nat and Loki, who had come during the small period of time when she had been in her room and gotten a debrief from Tony.
She raised the remote and began to flip through the screens... how did she get the remote? After a few clicks, the opening music of the movie Mulan were floating through the air, and Soph had a smug expression.
"Arguing makes it easy for someone smart to win, children." she said, hugging her knees to her chest and watching in interest.
Loki chuckled, and I felt myself bristle. Even though he had been mind controlled during the invasion, even though I knew my daughter was fierce, I still worried about her.
Somehow, she had fallen asleep in the middle of the battle with the Huns, the loudest part. It was slightly funny, seeing how she was leaning against Nat, her legs tucked to her side.
Nat didn't shove the girl off, and Tony was quick to point that out.
Smirking, she replied "I have a feeling that младшая сестра will be the sweetest person we know. She's putting on a facade, trying to scare us at first so we don't try to hurt her. Protecting herself."
"How did you guess that?" Bruce asked, pushing his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. "I got the trauma, but I figured that it had changed her actual personality."
Nat shrugged, then replied "A lot of things. She listened when Cap asked her to stop eating with the dagger, she glances around the room a lot, she picked a Disney movie and was quietly singing along, she fell asleep on me, that kind of stuff."
Loki smiled. "Also, the tiny Midguardian has one of those stuffed toys."
Okay, so младшая сестра means little sister in Russian. I wanted to deviate from the usual, and there is no moonlark stuff here *yet*, so this is the cutest plausible nickname!
