"Want me to give you a ride home?"

[first name] offered, watching her little sister put her shoes on. Emma's heart skipped a beat when her older sister offered her a ride, "No!" she said, accidentally raising her voice, which caused [first name] to flinch. Emma cleared her throat and smiled at her, "I mean, no, thank you.." she said calmly. Emma loves her sister and all but the only thing that she doesn't love about her sister is...her driving. "I'll just call Mikey.." she said nervously.

[first name] looked at her weirdly as she scratched the side of her head. "Okay," she shrugged, "be careful." she added. Emma opened the door, "I will!" she said with a smile on her face.

[first name]

When Emma left, I decided to head out which I usually do. I'm not really in the mood to open my car wash. I rarely get customers anyway these days. A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I look down at the fresh flowers that I bought, I can feel myself smiling weakly as I stare at them. Then my eyes went to what's in front of me—a grave...

Shinichiro Sano
August 1, 1980 - August 14, 2003

I stared at my older brother's name for a moment, then my eyes landed on the flowers that I bought for him last week..all are already wilted. I took a deep breath and knelt down and replaced the flowers. I fixed my jacket a little as I sat in front of my older brother. "It's been a while since I buy you flowers.." I said, with my eyes not leaving his name.

This may be weird but...I always talk to Shinichiro whenever I visit his grave, and I don't give a fuck when there are people around, I'll either ignore their weird stares or I'll give them a cold look so they'll stop staring at me. Mikey, Emma, and Grandpa have no idea about this, what they all know is that I only visit Shinichiro when they're planning to visit him. I took another deep breath and closed my eyes as I began to talk to him, "It's been 2 years..big bro."

Of course, all I receive is silence. I know I won't ever receive a reply from him, I'm not stupid. But sometimes...I wish I can hear his voice one last time...

"I'm alright, if you're wondering.." I said, opening my eyes to look at him again. "Grandpa and our siblings are alright too." I added. Then all of the sudden, an image of him smiling at me appeared inside my mind. I heard myself let out a soft gasp when I began to recall that day..that horrible day,

"Are you sure that you don't want me to keep you company?" I said to him, giving him an annoyed look. Then he looked at me with a warm smile on his face and said, "I'm sure, "

A whimper escaped my mouth, causing me to harshly put a hand on my mouth. Tears began to form in my eyes and I can feel my whole body shaking as I remember what happened that day, "S-Shin," I whispered his name as I try to control myself. I sniffed, "I-I know you don't want to hear this from me but.." I wiped some of my tears off from my face with the sleeve of my jacket with my glossy eyes focused on my older brother's name,

"I still blame myself.."

I heard my voice crack. I sniffed as tears continue to stream down my face. It hurts, it still hurts. I can feel myself trembling. It's been 2 years yet whenever I think about Shinichiro's death, I can't control my tears from falling. "If I just stayed..and didn't obey you,"
