"Are you sure that you don't want me to keep you company?"

A 20-year-old young woman asked her older brother, who's 3 years older than her. "I'm sure, " her brother smiled warmly at her as he lit up a cigarette. He leaned against the counter, and began smoking.

The two siblings are currently at their shop, it's almost getting dark outside, and it's actually time for them to close. They usually spend the night there just for security purposes but this time the young man wants his sister to go home.

The young woman sighed heavily at her older brother, "How many times do I have to tell you to stop smoking?" she said, looking at him in disappointment.

He laughed at her with the cigarette still in his mouth. "And how many times do I have to tell you that you're not the boss of me." he gave her a teasing grin.

She rolled her eyes at him and went to where her keys are—which is on the counter where her brother is, "Whatever, this is why girls don't like you." she said as she began walking her way out of their shop.

Her brother watched her leave with a scowl on his face, "H-Hey! At least I'm handsome!" he yelled at her. She snorted as she opened the door of her car, "who in the world told you that?" she said.

The 23-year-old male couldn't help but scowl at his younger sister more. She may be younger than him but sometimes she can be a little more mature than him..and she really knows how to make fun of him.

Then he suddenly remembered something, making him flinch a little. He immediately ran outside before his sister could leave, "By the way, Mikey's birthday is coming up! Remember what I told you!" he yelled.

She hummed, turning her head to look at him, "Yeah, don't worry. I won't tell a single soul." she said as she get inside her car with a faint smile on her face.

He smiled back at her, "Good. Have a safe drive home, [nickname]. " he said, waving his hand at her.

She gave him a small nod and started her car, "I will. See ya tomorrow, Shin."

Her older brother named Shinichiro watched her drive off at full speed. He was still waving his hand with a soft smile plastered on his face, then he removed the cigarette from his mouth with his fingers and blew out some smoke, "She doesn't call me big bro anymore.." he said to himself as he turned and began walking his way back to his shop. "Welp, she's a young adult now. I shouldn't be sad about it." he said to himself and began cleaning up.

A yawn escaped [first name]'s lips as she entered the house. "Grandpa?" she called for her grandfather as she closed the door behind her, but she didn't receive any response. She scratched her head, "Maybe he's in his room.." she said to herself. Then all of the sudden—she heard footsteps, and it sounded like someone's running. She jumped when she heard someone yelling,

"BIG SIS IS HOME!"

"Oh boy.." she said under her breath, already knowing what's about to happen to her. Then a girl with sandy blonde hair came running down the hall, with a very bright smile on her face. Her eyes sparkled when she saw [first name]. Before [first name] could react or say anything—
