Cleo[120]

I walked out the door, closed it and stood beside it.

"How you been??" She as looking at me

"I've been good. How about you??" I asked

"I'm making it..." she said with a small smile

I looked at her for a minute.

"Why??" I asked her

"It was your father. It was like he had a hold on me and I didn't notice until he was gone..." she said

"Gone, where is he??" I asked

"He died a year and a half ago..." she said
"I tried to get in contact with you but I couldn't find you. Not on social media or nothing..."

"I changed my name on all my social media..." I said and she nodded
"So what kind of hold he had in you??" I asked

"When I didn't do something he didn't like he would beat me. He was a very manipulative man. He could guilt trick anybody into doing anything he wanted. I wanted you and Geo to stay but your dad manipulated me into leaving you. Once I realized what I've done you had gave Geo up and you were no where to be found. Honey, I'm so sorry for abandoning you and Geo. I've felt so horrible for that. I can't forgive myself for the way I treated you especially with a child. I don't know how to make it up but I'll try if you're willing to let me..." she said looking at me

"I don't know. I can just come back from how you treated Geo and I needed you. You treated me the lowest when I needed you the most. Not only did you abandon me after having a baby 6 weeks away but you abandoned a 6 weeks old baby. A BABY! How could you even look you self in the mirror..." I said as tears found their way into my eyes

"Cleo honey I—" she started as her voice cracked

"No s—" I started

"I'm sorry..." she said with tears

"When I came out to you, you was disgusted with me that you barely feed me, you stopped washing or buying my clothes, and you stop buying my necessities. At 13 I had to get out and work to get money to live when I had a family. Not only did y'all do that me, y'all did it to Luxe. Not only did y'all disown her, her parents put her out. Nun of y'all went out to see if we was fine or even living good. Cuz y'all didn't give a fuck. Now you want to come in and say dad made you. Whether dad did all those things or not you had a decision to make and you made it..." I said as tears stream down both of our faces

"Cleo I'm truly and deeply sorry. If I could take it all back I would but since I can't I will spend every day tryna to show you how sorry I am..." she said looking at me

"I'm not ready to forgive you. I need to get a lot off me before I could do that. You hurt me and I want you to know that. You broke me at 13 years old. It's going to take a while to get back from that..." I said

"And I understand. I didn't expect you forgive me but I just wanted to talk to you and at least see you..." she said

"Yeah..." I said

"Well I should get going and let you enjoy your Christmas with your family. I'm sorry and I love you..." She said giving me a small smile before she turned around to walk off

I didn't want her to leave but I couldn't say or expressed that.

The door opened and Delilah came out.

"I was coming to tell y'all the food is done..." she said

"Thank you but I wasn't staying. Y'all can enjoy the rest of y'all's Christmas. Thanks for having me the time y'all did..." mom said with a small smile

"No..." Delilah said going after her
"We had you coming down here. At least stay and eat dinner with us..." Delilah said

"Only if Cleo wants me to..." mom said

Her and Delilah looked at me. I nodded my head and small smiles came to their faces. They walked back to the door.

"You can go ahead we'll be in in a minute..." Delilah told mom

Mom nodded and went in.

"You okay??" She said looking at me

"I don't know. A little relief but it's a lot to talk about before I can fully forgive her or even trust her again..." I said and she nodded

"Understandable, and I'm proud of you for at least talking to her..." she said smiling

"Thank you..." I said smiling pulling her closer

She reached her arm up, I bent down and she hugged me. Then, she kissed me. We pulled away and went in the house. We sat at the kitchen table with everyone else, we prayed and started eating. The rest of the day was actually good. Mom got to talk to the kids. She was also talking to everybody else. Delilah had been feeling good all day and that's all I wanted. She had a not so great 1st trimester but this trimester is much better and we are so happy. Around 9, Delilah and I took mom back to her hotel. Stopped by the store to get Delilah some late night snacks. We got back home everybody had already been in the tub and was in the front watching movies while eating popcorn and ice cream.

"So y'all couldn't wait??" Delilah asked as we came in the door

"Y'all was taking to long..." her mom said

"Whatever. Don't bother my wife and I tonight..." she said before pulling me upstairs

We went upstairs, got in the shower, put our night clothes on and got in bed. Baby put it on The Grinch. We watched that while eating snack. By the end of the movie she was knocked out, mouth opened and everything. I continued watching the movie then put it on Home alone. Once I was done with that, I put the snacks on the dresser and got back in bed. Delilah snuggled into me and I went to sleep.

*4 months later

Delilah just gave birth to Rhylee Giovanni King. She went through 10 hours of labor and we had a healthy princess. She was beautiful and we are already obsessed. After the delivered her, the doctors did  what they need then it was time for her to eat. Delilah wanted to breastfeed but she wasn't producing enough for Rhylee so we went with formula. We didn't want to but we didn't have another choice.

We were sitting in the room just look at our princess as she slept. After she woke up, Delilah picked her up, just playing with her hair and staring at her.

This women has became a big part of my life. I can't picture myself living without her or the kids. I wouldn't want to live without them. I love them and in love with her.

"What baby??" She asked softly

"You're my serendipity..." I said looking at her

"What's that??" I asked

"Something good I found without even looking..." I said making her smile and blush

"Babyyyy..." she said looking away from me

I grabbed her face so she could look back at me.

"I'm serious baby. I love you..." I said making her smile

She looked at me and said, "I love you too. You're my serendipity..."
