"Maybe I just hold you before morning comes." - Sue sighed. "I have this meeting with this big league person tomorrow that I'm so stressed about." - she said clearly not putting two and two together. She sighed, caressing Emily's thigh as they entangled into each other. Becoming one.
Emily put one of her legs between Sue's and put a lock of hair behind the girl's ear.
"That sounds nice." - the brunette replied. "But just so you know, I get up early tomorrow, so if I'm not in bed when you wake up, I'm probably at work. But don't worry. I'll be back for you." - Emily smiled gently and placed another short-lasting kiss on Sue's lips."I'll be up around six too, I guess we can get ready together." - the singer smiled. Sue kissed Emily again, loving the feeling of the poet's lips on her own. Wanting to keep that feeling for as long as she could. Sue thought about work in the morning. She guessed she could just wear the brunette's clothes to work and come back for her own. "Emily," - she began sweetly, "I don't have clothes for work tomorrow." - she said, wanting the other to finish the thought.
"Oh, don't worry! I have plenty of clothes that I'm sure you'd like." - Emily assured Sue, wanting to make her feel at home. The poet started tingling Sue's back, making circles with her fingers. For a moment a thought hit Emily: what if she doesn't remember this beautiful night tomorrow? She was not sure how drunk she was right now, probably just about enough to have the courage to do everything she did to Sue. But what if this night just fades away from the poet's mind? How sad and awkward would that be? In that same spirit: what if 𝘚𝘶𝘦 doesn't remember it all tomorrow? Emily had to ask a question to make sure at least one of them will know what happened between them in the morning.
"How drunk are you?" - Emily raised a brow.
Sue thought for a second before she spoke. "On a scale of 1 to 10, probably about a 9." - she laughed, surprised she wasn't blacked out.
Before Sue had seen Emily, she had had a man who looked slightly like her paying for her drinks. This man's name slipped away from her and she couldn't remember anything but the fact he looked sort of like the poet. She had him buying her beers and shots until he realized she wasn't going to go home with him. He was pretty upset and tried to guilt her into going home with him, using the money he spent on her as leverage but she didn't want anything to do with a man after her relationship with her ex.
"I had a few drinks before you coerced me into your arms, Emily Dickinson." - she smiled, her eyes closed. She didn't seem that drunk, but she knew she was a lightweight.
Emily tried not to look upset or worried about anything at all, but the look on her face kind of gave her away. She couldn't catch Sue's eye and she sinked deep into thoughts for a minute. She sighed.
"Well, on a scale from 1 to 10 I'm probably an 8. But I feel like an 11." - Emily tried to smile, but she wasn't doing a good job. "I just... I hope we remember this tomorrow. Although, I'd like to believe I'm hard to forget." - Emily winked.
Sue smiled sweetly noticing the concern on her face and her smile faded slightly. She grabbed Emily's chin gently forcing her to meet her eyes.
"Emily Dickinson, I will never forget you and even if I do, you'll be there to fall into bed with again tomorrow." - she smiled again, trying to convince herself. Before the beer and shots, Sue would never have been in this bed. She didn't know if she would be as loving in the morning, but she knew she loved this girl that she was entangled with. Sue was scared she would forget that. Or forget this conversation.
Emily felt that words were needless in this moment. She smiled a little brighter and leaned in slowly. But before their lips collided, Emily froze in her spot. She was still holding Sue's hand as they both stared at each other.
