I was again in Jiyeon’s car. This time she brought me to follow Mark’s car from a distance as soon as he left the Yeiodo Park.

I don’t know what she was trying to do, because at this time, we were already on the road to our house. So what is the thing I should know?

It’s almost at 6.30 o’clock when Mark stopped his car.

“Just see for yourself.” Jiyeon said to me.

I paid attention to Mark from Jiyeon’s car.

Mark brought some food and water inside the house.

“Do you know what he is doing inside that house?”Jiyeon asked me.

“Every day, Mark will donate some food and water to this orphan. Do you know why?” Jiyeon went on before I could answer her question.

I just keep looking at Jiyeon.

“Because he knows that you like children. And for your information, not only this orphan house. Mark will donate along the way when he meets one. Not only to orphans but also to the homeless people he meets.” Jiyeon told me with confidence.

“How did you know?” Finally, I voiced my suspicions.

“I made a final request to follow him to your vacation last time, with the reason I wanted to know you. But the truth is I wanted to make you believe that Mark still believes and loves me. In return, he begged me to never disturb you two. I agreed because I know I can separate you two.” Jiyeon revealed her story.

“Unfortunately, even though I managed to separate you two… I still can’t make him come back to me. He even asked me to disappear from his life after you were gone.” Jiyeon sighed before wiping her tears.

“From that moment, I followed Mark. After I see what he has done, I understand only true love will stay strong and last forever. That’s why I gave up. With sincerity, you give up your love for Mark’s happiness. If I was in your place, I don’t think I could do it. I can’t love him like you do, Jinyoung. And he can’t forget you that easily like he forgets me. He really loves you.”

“Then why did you agree to marry Mark hyung?” That question came out of my mouth before I could think twice.

“Because I want to be like you!” Jiyeon once again looked at me.

“I want to get you two back together, like you tried to get me and Mark together.”

“I don’t know if you believe me or not, but I’m sure this will make you believe more.” Jiyeon took out a book from the backseat and gave it to me.

It was the book I saw in Mark's bedroom a long time ago. In short, Mark’s diary.

“I found this book yesterday, inside Mark’s room. I thought I wanted to take it and keep it as a memory. But when I read it… I know this book is not for me. So I will give it to you. You’re the one who has a right to keep it.”

I took the book with trembling hands. The book that used to break my heart into a thousand pieces. But now, I start to think, how can a book that used to make me hurt make me believe all this?”

“One more thing… I hope you don’t have a problem giving this letter to Mark.” Jiyeon handed me a white envelope.

“From who?” I asked.

“From me!”

“Why don’t you give it yourself?” I asked again.

“I don’t think I have time. I have to go now. I’ve missed a flight that day and I don’t want to miss it once again.” Jiyeon said with a smile.

“Then how about your wedding with Mark?” I said with widened eyes.

Jiyeon's smile became wider when she heard my question.

“It’s just a gimmick! For me to make you two together back. Please take good care of Mark.” Her bright grin stayed on.

I don’t know what to say right now. Should I say thank you… No! This time I shouldn’t stop Jiyeon again.

“Thank you Jiyeon!” I said quickly.

“Don’t say it to me, say it to Mark, because he only loves you.” Jiyeon reminded me for the hundredth time today.

“I know.” And now I can smile.

“That’s good!”

“But where are you going? Didn’t you say that your adopted family threw you out?”

Jiyeon giggled before continuing. “I’m sorry. I lied! I lied to everyone. Actually they never threw me out. I told you guys a lie to make you guys pity me.”

“Also I’m sorry because I told Namjoon and Jaebum that Mark will divorce you.” Jiyeon apologised as she took my hands in hers, “Actually, Mark never said he will divorce you. I just made up the story that time because I was really mad at you two. Can you forgive me?” She looked straight into my eyes.

My heart felt relieved when I heard her confession. I smiled.

“Everyone makes mistakes. It’s in the past now. Let’s forget about it and start anew.” I said before Jiyeon hugged me.

“Take care!” I said.

“You too!” Jiyeon said with a sincere smile.
