I’m tired, it’s too difficult for me to keep track of Jiyeon. Namjoon did not dare to give any confirmation about the woman I was looking for. According to Namjoon, who received too much news about Jiyeon that he himself did not know which one was true, some say Jiyeon is already married and now lives in Los Angeles. There is also news that Jiyeon had died after suffering kidney problems. Namjoon said he himself had not been contacting Jiyeon. All of that makes me now at an impasse. I do not know which way I should go to keep track of Jiyeon. I was really disappointed.
I stopped when the traffic light changed color, from orange to red. I close my eyes for a moment, trying to relax. When a horn sounded, I immediately opened my eyes. But who knows what happened to my car, the engine died suddenly and couldn't start even after I tried many times. Finally, I had to turn on the emergency lights. I sat in the car, trying to figure out what I should do. This is the first time this has happened since I got my driver’s license.
I know I need some help from someone today. But who can I expect? Could it be that I can get help from Mark? Impossible! I’ve promised not to interfere with his time and trouble him in any situation. So I have to keep to that promise.
After thinking, I finally decided to contact Jaebum and get help. I can only expect him to help, that I’m sure of. So, immediately, I called Jaebum while looking at the sky becoming darker.
Jaebum came not long afterwards. He helped me to contact the tow car and asked for my car to be brought to the workshop. I’m really grateful for having Jaebum as my best friend. He always gives me a hand when I need help. Jaebum not only helped solve the problem of my car, Jaebum also helped to send me back home once the transaction with the workshop was completed.
“Thank you hyung. If you did not come, I would not know what to do.” I said it sincerely.
“You’re welcome. It’s just a small matter.” Jaebum smiled. “But I wonder, Jinyoung, why don’t you call your husband?” Jaebum started the questions.
This man, he always likes to ask questions that I don’t like.
“I do not want to trouble him.” The only answer I have.
“What are you talking about, Jinyoung? What is so troublesome about this? He’s your husband!” Jaebum was still not satisfied with the answer I gave.
“He’s busy.” Another brief answer I gave.
“Everyone else is busy too, Jinyoungie.” Jaebum spoke with cynicism.
“It’s okay hyung, he’s really busy. I, as a wife, should understand it.” I’m still trying to defend Mark. For some reason, even today, I can feel that Jaebum and Mark had a dispute.
I often noticed that they always argue every time they meet. But what had made them interact in such a way? Or was it actually just me having prejudice? The question remained embedded in my heart.
“I just don’t want you to be upset because of him!”
“Why do you say it like that? Did you hide anything from me, hyung?” my turn to ask Jaebum.
“I did not hide anything. Show me the way to your house.”
That was all I got from Jaebum and it was not clear to me. But never mind, at least the story about Mark just ended like that.
I immediately showed the way to Mark’s penthouse from the main road. My heart is full of hope for Mark to not be home yet. I don’t want to discuss with him about my lateness this time.
I asked Jaebum to drop me off at curbside only. I did not want to trouble Jaebum anymore. It is not easy for an outsider to enter the condominium. The procedure is too much work and abused. Perhaps it is because it is an elite condominium. I would rather walk to get inside. After all, I’ve been able to see clearly the condominium gate from where I was let down.
