After getting ready, I drove to the wedding location that Jaebum sent me, with the help of maps. I have promised Jaebum that I will accompany him, therefore I must fulfill my promise to him, even without Mark’s knowledge.
It was not like I wanted to keep it secret from Mark. Although I’m still angry at Mark about that day, I never stopped trying to contact him. I did not want to ignore Mark in everything I do, but he did not answer any of my calls. I tried contacting him, not just once or twice, but almost everyday, to tell him about it but failed.
The atmosphere in the hall was very lively even though I’ve only seen it from a distance. Jaebum immediately walked up to me as soon as I got out of my car.
“Wahh... you look nice in a suit, but why are you so late?” Jaebum looked good in purple.
“Sorry hyung... I made a wrong turn.” I pressed the remote control to lock my car.
“That’s why I told you to go with me. You refused to. Are you scared of your fiancé being mad?” Jaebum pouted his lips.
“I’m not afraid, but I’m liable to offend him. Why? Are you envious of me, hyung?” Jaebum and I were still standing outside the hall.
“I’m not envious, just a little jealous.”
“Stop talking gibberish hyung, or I’m going home.” I warned.
“I’m just joking, Nyounggie. Let’s go meet the bride and eat. I’m hungry.”
I shook my head, I’m not in the mood to play with Jaebum who acted like a child. He and I walked into the hall together. Their theme for the wedding was peach and pink and I felt like I was in a garden. It's so beautiful. I smiled when I thought about our marriage later.
I’ve said to Mark that I wanted our theme to be grey and red but Mark wanted it to be purple. To this day, there is still no final word about it.
After Jaebum brought me to meet the bride, we headed to the buffet and enjoyed the food provided. I sat next to Jaebum, who seemed to be enjoying the food.
“What’s your friend’s job?” I asked randomly.
“He works in a shipping company. He just recently got a job there.” I smiled and nodded.
I just waited patiently for Jaebum to finish eating. I cast a glance toward the bride, who was busy speaking to those guests. Joy clearly radiated from the couple’s faces. The title of the bride of the day was definitely something to be happy about.
I’m going to go through it someday, I whispered to myself.
I turned my head when someone touched my shoulder. I can’t believe what I see right now. Mark smiled at me and next to him stood a woman who looked a few years younger than me.
“Hey Jinyoung, is this your new boyfriend?”
Jaebum, who was drinking, choked at Mark’s words.
I immediately stood, my heart pounded faster. Mark has always been like that, when he talks, he never cared about my feelings. I began to feel ashamed.
“Who is this?” Jaebum also stood with me.
I have to introduce Mark to Jaebum. But shall I tell the truth that Mark is my fiancé after what he said just now?
“This is Mark.” That’s all I can say to Jaebum.
“Mark? That means he is your fiancé?” Jaebum said, a little surprised after hearing the words I had said.
I just nodded. Jaebum immediately stretched out his hand to greet Mark. I was a bit relieved when Mark shook his hands with Jaebum.
“Hey... Mark, is this your new girlfriend?” Jaebum smiled. It seems like he wanted to take revenge for me.
