I just laughed when I saw how excited Mark was, showing me the clothes he bought just now. His mouth never stopped speaking, while trying to match the clothes he bought for me to my body.
“Hyung! Why did you buy so many clothes?” I said, putting my hands at my hip, pretending to be angry.
“It’s for you to use, babe.” Mark was still busy showing me the clothes.
“Hyung, our baby is still 8 weeks old. It'll take time before my stomachs show a bump. Why did you spend your money on these clothes?” I just sighed.
Yes, last week I confirmed my pregnancy for 2 weeks. At first, I was scared to tell Mark. I don’t want Mark to think I was a freak. But after some advice from Jackson, I decided to tell Mark. And I still can’t believe how he was so happy, or should I say overjoyed, when I told him the news. Since that day, he has never allowed me to do any chores. Now, I’m so thankful that I told him the truth rather than worrying about it alone.
“I know. But I think we’d better prepare early, right?” Mark looked at me. “But if you don’t like it, it’s okay, I understand. I will just throw it away. I’m sorry.” And one more thing, Mark has become more sensitive now.
“Hyung…!” I stopped Mark when he began to re-inserting the clothes into the paper bag.
I didn’t mean to make him sad. I just don’t want him to put so much hope in this unborn baby. Anything can happen.
“Hyung… stop being so sensitive.” I protested.
That’s what I feel right now. Everytime I joke, I can see his pout.
“I’m just joking with you babe!” Mark kissed my nose. “But is it true I’m always sulking nowadays?”
“Yes, hyung.” I said.
“Maybe it's because of our baby.” Mark proudly said.
“Mark hyung!” I pinched Mark's hand.
“Do you want to go on a date with me? It’s been a long time since I went out with you.” Mark suddenly said.
Mark's suggestion made me happy.
“Eh, but you just took me out for dinner last week, hyung.” I reminded him. Maybe he just forgot.
“Babe, dinner and dating are not the same thing.” Mark winked with his famous smirk.
“Okay, hyung. I will never win when I talk with you.” It’s my turn to pout, pretending to be mad.
“How can you win? My wife is a teacher now! Every day, he teaches me how to speak. But you, who is teaching you?” Mark said proudly with a grin.
I laughed when I heard his answer. I still continued my job as a teacher near our house. I’m glad Mark let me and supported me without any issue.
“I don’t care, hyung. My husband is even better. He is a CEO!” I said, not wanting to lose.
“What's great to be a CEO? My wife is better.” Mark was still with his opinion.
“NO! My husband is better!”
“Hmm… you two are great if you two go and help your mom in the kitchen.” Dad suddenly said.
Mark and I kept quiet when we heard dad's voice. I totally forgot that we are in my parents’ house right now.
I can see Mark trying to keep cool. I took this chance to wink and showed him a thumbs up.
“I want to help mom but your son doesn't want to let me go since I came back.” Mark suddenly said, dragging me with him.
“Why me hyung!” I said.
