Chapter 26

From the beginning of the event until near the end, I just stayed in the kitchen.

“You should go and take a rest Jinyoung. You’re busy from morning until now.” Mark smiled and then he went on with a drink in his hand.

I was stunned there.

Recently, I became more confused by Mark's attitude that is so difficult to interpret. Jiyeon's presence has already changed him, from a bad temper to a quieter one, from someone who has difficulty showing a smile, to someone who likes to smile. So, what I did all this time, trying to get Jiyeon and Mark back together, was not wrong. It looks like everything is almost back to normal except for one thing.

What is the end for me, Jiyeon and Mark?

“Jinyoung.”

“Jaebum hyung!” I greeted as I looked at the owner of the familiar voice.

“I’m happy to know that you’re fine.” Jaebum smiled.

“How did you know I’m already fine?” I asked, wanting to know the truth.

“Mark told me.” Answered Jaebum.

“So it was Mark who invited you today?” My heart became angry when I found out about it.

Why was he once quite angry when seeing Jaebum with me, now gladly bringing Jaebum to be close with me? Ask me alone. Is it because Mark wants to unite me with Jaebum, and he no longer worries about me after he and Jiyeon are together? Does that also mean Mark already set plans to let me go from this marriage? My heart was chopped finely.

“From the way you talk, you look like you don’t like me coming here.” The smile on Jaebum’s face faded. “It’s okay, maybe you're still angry with me, right? If it’s like that, I’m going first.”

With that, he turned to leave the kitchen.

“Jaebum hyung!” I stopped Jaebum from leaving.

I’m not that angry at him. He just kept a secret about his relationship with Jiyeon from me. I also keep a lot of secrets about me from him. Anger will only destroy our friendship. After all, he had helped me a lot. It is impossible for me to forget his kindness just because of this small matter.

“Can I talk to you for a while?”

Jaebum smiled while nodding his head.

My mother-in-law took me straight to the kitchen as soon as I arrived at his house. I was surprised by Mrs.Tuan's actions.

After arriving at the kitchen, she let go of my hand. She took a deep breath, then she turned her head to the living room before looking back at me with a smile. I was only able to watch her while frowning, as a sign that I was clueless.

“Jinyoungie, mama have something I want to tell you.” Mrs Tuan started.

“What is it, mama?” I quickly asked, not wanting to delay any longer.

“I’ve set up a plan during our vacation later.”

Yes, Mr and Mrs Tuan planned to go on vacation before my accident started.
