Chapter 21 - Famous People Love Twitter

After my little incident with Jaymi’s phone, I didn’t know if I should tell him or not. So all I did was erase all the messages, including George’s first one. If I was lucky, George wouldn’t text him back. But I was still afraid that he’d find out, so every time Jaymi’s phone rang, I panicked a little. “Oh, a new message” he said picking up his phone “JAYMI I CAN EXPLAIN” I started when he looked at the screen “My mom sent me a photo of the cat in a mermaid costume” he replied showing me the picture “Can you explain that?” he asked laughing, I gasped in relief, “Maybe he likes to swim?” I said.

Me, Ella and Jaymi discussed a little bit more about the swimming skills of the cat, then decided to go to the restaurant for breakfast. Who we meet there? Rylan Clark. “Hey guys!” he said “Come here!” we all sat at the table and joined him and some other X factor contestants. “Did you like the party?” he asked “Yeah, it was amazing” Jaymi responded “You mean, schamazing!” he corrected him and everybody laughed. Rylan was a lovely guy, he asked me about Brazil and I told him all about the beaches and male models, he was delighted. “I need to go there!” he declared “And speaking of Brazil, when are you going back?” Ella asked “In about 3 months” I answered “But I was thinking of going to college here” “Seriously? That would be wonderful!” Jaymi said “What would be wonderful?” I heard, then I turned around and saw the rest of Union J. Josh,  JJ and George. “Hum, hi guys” I said “Hey Laura” JJ and Josh replied sitting with us, “So, what would be wonderful?” George asked again “If Laura went to the college here in London” Ella responded “Are you going to? In London?” he turned to me.

It was the first time he had spoken directly to me since Rylan’s party. Looking right into my eyes, piercing my soul with those 2 dark brown pupils. “Maybe…” I answered blushing “I was thinking of” “It would be nice” he replied drinking his coffee.

Nice? What does he mean by that? Is it my head or is he acting a little bit different? I tried not to think much about it and changed the subject. “So are you going to rehearsals today?” I asked “Actually today is our day off” Josh responded “We were thinking of doing some shopping and just tour around” Ella said, “And you are included” Jaymi added “Of course! Who is gonna help me with the outfits?” Ella said “Guess it’s gonna be me then” I laughed.

After breakfast one of the X factor’s car took us to the local mall. Ella, me and Union J in one car and Rylan in the other. He said needed to be with James Arthur cause he was like, his personal stylist. I thought about Rylan becoming an international super stylist, it would fit him. While we were on the car, Ella updated her twitter:

@Ella__Henderson: Shopping time with Laura and @UnionJworld!

And of course, after that tweet, loads of people (mostly fangirls) started asking:“Who is Laura?” “Who is that girl?” “Is she someone’s girlfriend?” “She better not be dating one of the guys from Union J cause I’ve already got our marriage date set”

Ella showed me the replies and I just laughed off. I didn’t even have twitter, so I couldn’t care less about it. We arrived at the mall and parted different ways. Me and Ella went to look for new outfits for the X factor and the boys would shop for whatever they usually did, like hairspray and jackets.

As fancy as the stores were all the attendants would always be nice, since Ella was famous and we had a couple of security guards escorting us. “Why do we need these gorillas again?” I asked her looking at the tall big men behind us “I don’t know really, producers stuff I guess” she responded. We continued shopping for a while. I was waiting for Ella to come out of the dressing room “Oh my god” I heard her behind the curtains “What?” I asked “Look at this dress!” she said getting out of the room “It’s really pretty Ella! You look gorgeous” I told her “Thank you!” she responded “Now we need to look one for you!” she said taking me by the arm.

She picked lots and lots of outfits for me, but in the end I didn’t bring enough money for that much clothes, so I decided to buy only one thinig. We were both inside the dressing room admiring the fancy, sparkly and expensive dresses we were wearing. Ella had a lace dress with some silver accents on and I was wearing a red dress with a neckline in the back. I usually didn’t wear dresses, but that one I loved it. “We’re looking fab!” she said “Let’s take a picture” she got her phone and we made some stupid teenager (but very fun) faces and poses. Ella tweeted them:

We immediatly got replies. Some saying we were pretty, some asking how Ella was and some asking (again) who I was. But there was one particularly twitter reply that got my attention:
