Aurora was at school again. A few days had passed since the...accident, as everyone likes to call it - who knew so many people in Mystic Falls liked to avoid dramatic affairs such as this. Anyways, she was back to the bustling crowds of hormonal teens in the hallways and teachers generously handing out homework to complete. Currently, she was untangling herself from other students as she walked to her locker.

Oh, but if she only looked where she was going when she bumped straight into Stefan; the cliché 'dropping-all-my-books-on-the-floor' scene from movies unfolding right in front of her. Great.

"God, I'm so sorry. I didn't look where I was going and- Dammit, i'm sorry - don't hate me for this." Aurora rambled as she crouched to pick up the books from the floor.

"Wuthering heights by Ellis Bell. Interesting, always wanted to read that." He said, smiling lightly.

"Actually, if we want to get controversial, her real name was Emily Brontë, but i'm sure that if I gave you a history lesson on its depictions of mental and physical cruelty and how it supports the fact that it's extra controversial, you would probably cry yourself to sleep for a couple days."

"Yeah, I would much rather not." He replied raising his eyebrows with the presence of his beautiful smile still painted on his face.

"Hey, you know: if you want, I could lend this book to you - i've already finished it. I don't mind." The brunette offered, passing him the book whilst she got up from her crouching position.

"God, Aurora. You're too kind," Stefan fanned through the pages with a confused expression, "Is this your writing in the margins?"

"Yeah..I take great pleasure from writing in the margins of books."

He chuckled a deep laugh as he looked down at her, shaking his head. "I've got to tell you, Aurora, you are something else."

You are something else.

You are something else.

Echoing in her mind, thousands and thousands of times. Imprinted on ever square inch of her body. Engraved into every corner.

"Well, I'll see you around, okay?" The salvatore said, "I've got to meet Elena at around this time. Goodbye Aurora."

"Yeah, Goodbye."

As the two walked away from each other, her eyes distinguished a perky blonde strutting with a handbag, a brunette trailing behind her. She smiled as she ran and threw herself at the two of her friends - since this was the first time they saw her since she was out of the hospital.

"Aurora!" They both exclaimed, wrapping their arms around the girl. Aurora could not ask for anything better than the warm embrace of her two friends.

"Hello my darlings. Anyways, what were you guys gossiping about?"
