"Aurora, pardon me for asking, but why are you just...floating around us? Don't get me wrong, it's just...hanging out with your brother and his friends? You feeling okay?" Matt asked with concern, genuine or not, still concerned.

"Well, Matty Patty, Caroline isn't here yet. And I have no other friends," She paused for a second, "No, I have Bonnie - but she's vanished - and Elena.."

She didn't miss the sharp intake of breath Matt took upon hearing her name. And the timing couldn't be more right when Tyler appeared next to the two and decided to open his big fucking opinionated mouth:

" Look...there's Elena and her new boyfriend. Now, what are they doing? Oh, they're walking, walking, walking. Yep. Right into the sunset."

"You're a dick, Ty." Aurora mentioned whilst looking up at Matt apologetically, it pained her that she could easily recognise the longing look on his face.

"Hey, while you stand there looking like those little yard trolls-"

"Gnomes."

"-Here's what we're going to do-"

"Ty; She made her choice, there's nothing we can do" The blue-eyed boy said, raising his voice slightly.

"Yeah? Let her know she made the wrong one."

Aurora's eyes widened as she watched her brother fling the ball in the couple's direction. Her mouth dropped and everything seemed to happen in slow motion; the rugby ball was taking its precious time, spinning and doing pirouettes in the air as it got closer to Stefan's head. Only, Stefan spun around as if he had eyes on the back of his head and enclosed his hands around the ball - then throwing it back twice as hard.

What..on earth? Tyler Lockwood was now on the floor. The impact of the force of the rugby ball must have had a number on him.

As she made her way to lesson - alone, she still had not found Caroline - she could not help but wonder how on earth Stefan managed to catch that ball. Surely he could not have heard the ball whizzing at him; the way he turned around, it didn't take a genius to know that no real human could have turned around that fast. She thought and thought and thought for a possible explanation for what happened, why was no one else this bothered? She sat down in her regular seat and from the corner of her eye, she caught Stefan slide into the seat next to her.

He threw her a lazy smile, and just like that, Aurora's earlier thoughts had evaporated and was nothing but useless gas in her mind. She shoved her hand down her bag and fished out the necessary items for Mr Tanner's history class.

As the history teacher began to talk, the Lockwood wondered where the hell was the mop of blonde - she was never late, not even when she spent the night with a random dude.

" World war II ended in...Anyone got anything? Miss Juan?" Mr Tanner was met with an embarrassing silence, "1945." He answered his own question.

Aurora leant over so that her face was closer to Stefan's so he could hear her whisper:
