It was the type of morning you read about. The type you dream about. The ones with the warm morning breeze and the birds chirping their songs to wake you up with no worries or stress running around in your mind. The sound of the leaves nestling. Stefan groaned into his pillow and nestled deeper into his bed, telling himself he'll wake up in a few minutes, that he had time and had no where to be or no one to meet. It was until his thoughts were interrupted by a leaf stabbing him ruthlessly in the ear before being swept away by the wind that soon brought him back to his senses.

He never slept with his windows open, how the hell did a leaf get even remotely close to him?
That was when it hit him.

The Salvatore shot up and scanned his surroundings, letting out a wince when he found himself on a ferris wheel instead of at home, in bed with his girlfriend. And then it hit him again.
The scent of vanilla and coconut wafted into his nose and he spun his head around to face the brunette who was still half asleep and manoeuvring her head around to settle the kink she had in her neck.

"Shit." Stefan muttered.

"Stef? What's going on? Why are we here?" The girl asked.

Despite the fact that the situation they were in wasn't ideal, he spent just a quick minute admiring how she looked when she woke up. It was like the world had stopped specifically for him to look at the way her ponytail was all messed up, her cheeks were pink from the cold and her eyes looked slightly more blue. Fine by him, easier for him to drown in them.

Please stop staring at me like that, otherwise I'll fall in love with you even more than I already have, Aurora thought, but he couldn't hear her. "Wait, what time is it? Shit, Stefan!"

"Okay, it's fine-"

"Fine for you!" Aurora shrieked, still looking angrily at the watch she had on her wrist, "I just missed a scheduled class I had!"

Stefan sighed and rubbed his eyes, "From the way you just screamed, I thought you missed something important." He murmured, nestling back into the seat and resting his head on her shoulder.
"Easy for you to say, you've been a high schooler a million times." She muttered, "Get me down, Stefan Salvatore."

They walked to his car, Aurora shivering and Stefan debating whether he should give her his jacket or not. As soon as she got in to the famous red Salvatore car, her hands flung themselves desperately at her hair, trying to fix it before Stefan dropped her off at her house. Panicked, she tried to rub off the mascara under her eyes so it didn't look like she spent the night sleeping around, God knows what her mother would say.

"Hey," Stefan noticed what she was doing whilst he started the car, "Why don't you stop by at my house for a bit, you know...to freshen up?"

"That bad, huh?"

"Well..."

Aurora groaned and sent an elbow in Stefan's direction.
