The bloodlust was starting to drive Stefan crazy. Everything was starting to get on his last fucking nerve, especially Damon, and he was struggling to hold on to the thread that he had been clutching for the past few years of stability that he had managed to find somewhere in that fucked-up brain of his.
His only peace was Aurora, he found comfort in the simple things. Just by looking at her, his body fell at ease. It felt wrong, the whole concept was a juxtaposition, but he couldn't help it. And for the love of God did he feel terrible for Elena. No matter how he felt, the sight of Aurora Lockwood was like a lullaby to a baby.
However, the universe was starting to be driven against him and he could feel Aurora being snatched away from his longing grasp when he saw her at the library. With Michael Morrow, a friend of her brothers. He had just only come to check out a few books from the library, only for his mood to be toyed with when he saw the glow of Aurora dulled by the dim and daft Michael. For fuck's sake, he could never catch a break..could he?
A few tables away, sat two people completely oblivious to the torment they were causing the young vampire. Aurora and Michael.
"Y'know, when you wanted to go to a library for our first ever official date, I didn't think you meant we would actually read." Michael said, looking up at her concentrated face as she stopped reading to answer him.
"Firstly, you say that as if it is a bad thing. Secondly, what on earth would you even do other than read in a library?" The girl replied incredulously.
The blonde placed his hand on her inner thigh sneakily and slowly inched it higher, "I mean, I could name a couple things..." He winked, earning a light shove from the brunette next to him.
"Michael, we are in public!" She scolded jokingly."No we aren't, there's like...two other people here. Did you pick this place because there is no chance your brother will be seen dead in a library?" He asked.
"We still have to keep things on the low, remember? Until it feels right to tell him.."
"Understood Ma'am. Why are you writing in the books, i thought they were meant to be read?"
"It's called 'annotating' doofus," Aurora checked the time on her watch and looked at the boy knowingly. He sighed and rested his head down on her shoulder, "I can't stay any longer, my Mum has a big party now and-"
"Yeah, yeah...you founding families with your fancy parties with ball gowns and shit." He muttered rubbing his eyes, getting up and then offering a hand to the young lady next to him.
"Okay, but people have parties all the time! You should know, you've thrown some, haven't you?" She nodded at him, starting to walk out the library.
"Yeah, with cheap beer cans and girls with their tits out...that ever happen at your parties?"
"Only when Kelly Donovan makes a surprise entrance." The girl mumbled to him, earning a chuckle.
"For sure. Anyways, I'll see you tonight?"
