Aurora Lockwood was currently sitting in a dark history classroom with her history teacher, catching up on all the work she had been missing these past few weeks due to the latest affairs. Whilst others were out partying, getting drunk, and having sex, Aurora was here willingly doing schoolwork with her teacher. Maybe Tyler was right, maybe she did have no life.

She scribbled down answers and furiously shook her pen whenever the ink on the page started getting weak when she was writing. The girl had promised to come over to the Gilbert house later to play video games with Jeremy - it was a tradition for the two to do this every once in a while. When her pen finally ran out, she groaned and reached into her pencil case in hopes of finding another one.

"Need a pen?" Mr. Saltzman asked.

"Yes please, I have no idea where my old ones went." She replied, walking up to his desk to retreive it. Her teacher smiled nervously as if he were contemplating saying something but was holding back. 9Just as she was about to turn around and walk back with the pen, he spoke:

"Is everything alright at home?"

"What?!" She was caught offguard with that question, "No, no. Everything's fine. Why?"

"I'm sorry for assuming, it's just...with the amount of missing assignments, Aurora..." The girl had never been told this by a teacher, and if it was only the first time being told this, why did she feel as though she was a failure. Failing to handle everything. Failing to understand the importance of somethings. Why couldn't she be like the others, having a social life and getting decent grades?

"No. Everything's fine."

Alaric took a deep breath in before speaking again, "Well, whilst you're up...mind taking printed copies of this old journal? Don't damage it, though. It's like precious history teacher porn." He joked as a desperate attempt to brighten up the mood.

Aurora let out a light chuckle before nodding, walking out into the dim hallway...eerily quiet and empty. It was much more scary when there wasn't students bustling past each other, getting into fights and making up and making out in it.

The girl was stood near the printer, waiting patiently for the job to be done. When she was putting the printed pages into Alaric saltzman's teacher locker - following his instructions - she saw a figure, moving past the other corridor. She only caught a glimpse of them, but she still saw them either way.

Chills ran down Aurora's spine, freezing it.
"Who was that?" She asked to no one, her voice echoing through the corridor, As if someone was going to reply back. Jee, get a grip Aurora.

She hurried back to Mr. Saltzman's classroom. Making up a bullshit excuse for needing to get home when in reality, her paranoia had taken over and all she wanted to do was forget that she ever saw a possible vampire looming the corridors after school hours. And the worst thing was, she didn't know who to tell about this incident.
