A/N: i felt like being a bit problematic today so enjoy this eventful chapter.
Aurora banged her head on the locker door in front of her as the constant yammering of her friends went in one ear and out the other. "Guys, for the last time. If you want to come to the grill today to study - fine. cool. If you don't, also fine. I don't understand all this stupid commotion"
"If i'm going, Vicki is going, if Vicki is going...we all know puppy Gilbert is gonna follow." Tyler stated in a snarky tone, triggering something in Elena.
"Careful, Tyler. I'm still Jeremy's sister. Watch it."
"Tyler, just stop. Listen, the assignment would be much easier if we all worked together. Plus, I doubt Jeremy will be there, it has nothing to do with him. There, settled." And with that, she walked away - rolling her eyes and opening the book she had just started reading this morning, as she wired her way through the crowd of hormonal teenagers.

"Guys, what happened to actually being here to study-"
"Oh, stop being such a buzzkill Bonnie. Mr Tanner won't mind if we stop talking about Henry the eighth for one second." Caroline interrupted her friend, who quickly shut her mouth and looked down on her notes. Aurora had learnt ages ago not to go against what Caroline wanted, even if she never said it out loud; now, for instance, from the way she giggled against Tyler's chest whilst his other arm was slung around a glaring Vicki, and how she picked up an empty glass bottle and placed it on the centre of the table, it was obvious she wanted to create some drama. "Alright, who's up for a game of spin the bottle?!"
No one said anything against it.
So they all took turns, spinning and kissing and laughing and tounging; the grill was empty and Matt had allowed them all to stay after closing hours. The amount of times Aurora blushed and looked away only to find a certain someone's green eyes again from the other side of the table. Bonnie reached over the table and wrapped her fingers around the bottle, twisting it, and watched as it whirled in circular motion, the anticipation rising every second. Her eyes widened as it landed on no one other than Vicki Donovan.
After they had finished and Bonnie's shot of courage had dissapeared, she sat back down and responded to Aurora's high five, smiling with her swollen lips.
"Aurora, your turn!"
The brunette gulped. She felt the eyes of a forest on her as she leant over and spun the bottle, seconds turned into hours as it twirled and twirled and didn't seem to stop. Until it did. and it was pointing a big finger at Matt Donovan, who was seated right next to Stefan.
Boy, were the Donovans getting it today. But it shouldn't bother anyone right? No big deal, it's just a game. Just a game. And yet, Stefan could not get rid of the nagging feeling in his chest as he scrutinized Aurora, her getting on Matt's lap, whispering in that damn soft voice of hers, asking if it was okay. He was not sure why, but he could not help feel hurt that she didn't even spare Stefan a glance.
