Summary: You, Jack and Lavender go to Disneyland.

There was no better way to spend a summer day than at Disneyland. It was Lavender's first time visiting the park, and although she was little, it was just the place for her to create memories that she'd lavish upon in the future, filled with cartoons and magic and technicolour.

The weather in Anaheim was quite warm, and Jack knew it would only get hotter as the hours crawled in. Having purchased tickets online for the three of you, any worries, or arguments about who would pay for what - considering your over-generous nature to insist on paying for everything - were seemingly avoided before the day's entertainment had begun. He had Lavender sit comfortably in her stroller for most of their day to avoid any crankiness from the little one about the heat or the tiredness it would soon elicit, and you walked beside him, an arm linked with his as he pushed the stroller under Main Street Train Station.

'Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy' You read the sign above you, gingerly processing its words before it drifted out of sight.

"You hear that, Lavy?" Jack bent down over the hood of the stroller and watched his daughter's legs kick innocently off the edge of her seat. She nearly burst with youthful wonder, her curiosity craving all the attractions and amusement Disneyland had to offer.

Main Street was bustling with people of all ages ambling across the pavements and making their way in and out of various shops and cafes standing side by side. Gazing at the plethora of buildings buzzing with life in all directions, you caught sight of the Emporium; an expansive gift shop containing just about everything one would ever need to purchase, or so you'd heard.

"We should check that out!" You proposed, turning to face him in hopeful suggestion, a finger pointed at the tall, old fashioned style building.

Jack only nodded, your cheerful face radiating against the sunlight snatching the breath right from his throat.

The place was busy that's for sure, but it hadn't made the trip inside any less enjoyable. All types of novelty items, essential sundries and cartoon merchandise were held in the vast space under the yellowy warmth of hanging lights and the dark wood panelling of the ceiling. You could sense Lavender's desire to bring all the colourful, interactive toys home with her when you headed for the cabinets and shelves further down. Jack let her walk around freely for a bit but kept a protective eye on her from a few paces away.

"We need Disney ears." You insisted beside him, shuffling through several racks to find a pair for you, Jack, and Lavender. He only chuckled, being in no position to disagree.

"Anything for you, baby," He surrendered, sliding an arm around your waist over the cardigan that was tied around your middle. His one arm pulled you in closer to rest your foreheads together for a moment before he was planting kisses to the skin there instead, soft pecks from the top of your head to your nose to the lips that curled that smile he always loved to see, like when the ticklish nature of his delicate lips made you giggle against his mouth and lean back from his touch, as if you could get enough of his love.

Like a flick of a switch, both of your expressions faltered, morphing into knowing glances at the voice resounding through the store. "I want this!" Lavender's voice travelled through the cool, air-conditioned air.

At her sudden call, you and Jack tilted your heads to find her behind the racks, moving in perfect, comical synchronisation while the same idea whipped through your minds. What could she have wanted? The tread of her little sneakers lasted for a few seconds until she was found balancing a boxed doll in her two small arms, wobbling towards you two with barely any coordination in her step.
