Turning away from the dirty blonde currently staring holes into the back of my head "You really like her?" I whisper waiting for his response "Yes, which means-" "I know what it means" I cut him off and storm off in the other direction.

2 Months Later

I don't know if we should be alone together

I still got a crush that's obvious 
With no one around what's stopping us

Standing outside cold air nipping at my skin I feel someone walk next to me not having to look over to know it's him

"Hey" He greets placing his hand on my lower back

"We shouldn't be alone together" I whisper and he hums in agreement before turning me to face him I'm instantly captivated by the chocolate brown eyes looking at me he leans in placing his forehead on mine

"Spence" I mumble pushing him away he hums in response taking a deep breath I open my mouth to say something but his phone rings and he answers 

"Hello, Love" He greets the person on the other line "Yeah I'll be there in a little bit" 

He hangs up turning towards me with a look that I can't quite place a look between guilt and sympathy 

"Never mind" I mumble before walking away from him feeling cold tears stream down my face for a second I thought I heard him call me back to him but I assumed it was just the wind and my mind making stuff up

Just a baby, but she's growing up so fast
And I'm allergic to the waiting

"I need to stop waiting for him" I sigh staring into the mirror in front of me gazing down at my outfit I smirk time to move on or at least try "Oh my god you look so good" Emily announces gawking at me I turn to smile at her "Come on the team is waiting for us" 

She's just a baby girl
And I love to watch her dance
But it's making me go crazy

Dancing to the music with the flashing lights flush against a stranger not caring who's watching and who isn't I throw my hands in the air moving my his gradually against the person behind me catching a glimpse of the table where everyone is sitting my eyes meet his, he has his jaw clenched and is holding onto his glass so tight I can see his white knuckles from here my eyes wander on his hands far longer than normal and I lift my eyes to meet his once again

"Rossi I have a joke" Spence shouts from across the bullpen as he awkwardly runs towards me "Ok, ok so how many existentialists does it take to change a lightbulb," He says trying to catch his breath 

"Don't" Rossi warns

 "Two" He states pausing for a second "One to change the lightbulb and the other to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness" he chuckles causing a smile to spread across my face 

"You know sometimes I wonder about you" Rossi sighs patting spencer's back and walking away

"Y/n" Spence shouts waving me over to him I oblige but trip over my feet almost immediately "Shit" I curse closing my eyes expecting to fall to the floor only to feel no impact come only two pairs of arms wrapped around my waist pulling me up "Baby, how did you even manage that" he laughs keeping his hands on my waist my breath hitches in my throat and he stops laughing once he realizes what he said he hasn't called me that in months

"Baby, " I can't help but call her that
Even though I shouldn't say it

I lean into the couch avoiding Rossi's gaze "You mean to tell me he left you for someone who he thought was better? and she's now married? It's JJ isn't it" He states and I nod in agreement "iy iy iy" He rubs his hand down his face "I'm gonna shoot him" he announces causing me to chuckle 

She was my baby girl
I might never get her back
But I don't mind being patient, yeah

"I'm sorry" he sighs walking towards me as I match his movements backward 

"No" I put my arm up signaling for him to stop "You left me for someone you couldn't be with you said things you lied and the worst part is I didn't even care so long as I still had you in my life" I take a deep breath swallowing the tears "I was finally getting okay I was opening up I was moving on you have no right to ruin that by saying you want me back that you never meant to leave but you did you left!" 

"I shouldn't have left you baby I regret it" He gives me puppy eyes " You can't leave and come back and expect me to pretend nothing happened because you broke me I gave you everything I trusted you with everything and you dropped me in a matter of seconds because of her beck and call I refuse to be your second choice" I turn around and walk away from him

I'm sorry Dave, I never meant to hurt your baby girl
She's your little baby, she's my soulmate
I don't want you to worry, she'll be so safe right here
