*Anna and Grace have been texting back and forth with a few people who know san because its exactly 1 week till Santana's 70th birthday. the girls spoke with the kids and they all agreed that it would be nice to do a little surprise party for san where they get Mercedes, her hubby, sam and sugar to come and stay with them for the weekend and do stuff with Santana, just catching up with one another.*

*on a FaceTime call with the gang*

Anna: so we will take her out for a nice dinner on the night of her actual birthday and you guys show up a little after we arrive so san can be really surprised. *smiles as everyone smiles back* and Me, grace and the kids will visit her in the morning and spend the day with her just like normal so she doesn't suspect anything. How does that sound?

Mercedes: its perfect! She's gonna love it! *smiles as everyone smiles back and nods their head in agreement*

Anna: awesome! Well we better go and check on the kids because they are being suspiciously quieter than usual *laughs because the kids aren't actually that much of a handful, she just jokes around like that for a laugh because jasmine recently became a teenager*

*they all say their goodbyes then go back to doing whatever they were doing before the call*

Grace: *was sat back on the couch with her arm around Anna while they cuddle into each other and just talk about how to get everything successfully in place for Santana's birthday* i think we should take the kids into town so they can help pick out what they want to get for san and then we can get her something separate. *looks down at anna*

Anna: yeah! Lets go! *smiles at grace then puts her hand out to help her up off the couch*

Grace: *follows Anna out the kitchen and stands at the bottom of the stairs* KIDS CAN YOU COME DOWN A SEC! *sees both teens walking towards the staircase and watches as jasmine waits for Elliot to get into his chair lift before she goes down the stairs to see what Anna and grace want*

jasmine: whats up? *looks at Anna and Grace as Elliot reaches the bottom and wheels out the lift*

Anna: me and grace were talking and we decided that the 4 of us would go into town so you guys can get your grandma a gift and me and grace will get her a little something from us as well. *smiles as the kids smile back*

Elliot: alright! *smiles at the 2 women as they smile back*

Grace: alright cool! *just realised that they made Elliot come down the stairs when he hadn't even gotten ready for the day yet* hey jazzy! Can you do me a favour and pick an outfit out for Elliot just so he doesn't need to go all the way back up their. *looks at the younger teen as she looks back nodding her head* thanks sweetie! *goes and gets her jacket and shoes on with Anna then they sit in the living room with Elliot and wait for jasmine to come down with his stuff*

*5 minutes later!
Jasmine: *come down and enters the living room with Elliot's clothes in hand* her you go big bro! *smiles as Elliot takes his clothes and thanks her* no problem! I remember you saying that today was one of your more painful days so i just thought that you might want some comfy clothes. *smiles as Elliot smiles back*

Elliot: thanks Jazzy! Ill just go get changes in the bathroom and get my toiletries sorted into my little day bag. *looks over to Anna and grace then leaves the room*

Anna: *looks at jasmine then back at grace with the same expression as if they know they are both thinking the same thing* EHEM... *dramatically clears her throat so she can get jasmine's attention. Jasmine was sat across from the girls with her phone in hand, scrolling through her social and talking to her mates from school. She looked up at Anna and didn't seem to realise what she had done so Anna speaks up* what do you think you are wearing? *was so overprotective with jasmine when she started to dress more grown up. Anna just doesn't want jasmine to be like the girls she grew up with who would try to wear certain things that would get boys. Attention*

Jasmine: *doesn't see a problem with what she wears because she is just wanting to fit in with the girls in her class and do what her besties do* what... this is my favourite top and these shorts are super cute. *smiles proudly as if she doesn't notice her cleavage is a bit much for someone her age and the shorts are almost too short for the public*

Anna: *remembers herself being just like jasmine when her parents tries to talk to her about it being inappropriate* nah! There's no chance in hell that I'm letting you leave this house looking like that! Go change! *points to the door and looks at jasmine sternly so she knows its not a joke*

Jasmine: *was beyond annoyed that she had to change because she knows Anna wants her to wear something that covers every inch of her body* UUUGGGGHH! *stomps up the stairs so to show just how mad she is*

Anna: *sighs and lays her head on grace's chest. she hates fighting with jasmine but she knows shes just trying to do whats best for the kids* now i know how my mum felt back when i was jasmines age and would do stupid shit like this just because i was so desperate to fit in and be liked by everyone my age so i wouldn't get picked on. *gets a little emotional because she starts to think of her mum and miss her more now that she isn't round for Anna to go and visit to give her a hug or get advise on how to deal with life's hurdles*

Grace: *knows exactly what Anna is thinking and feeling right now so she just holds her and gives her lots of kisses to try and make her smile* i love you so much and I'm gonna help you get through to her so we can all remain as one big happy family. I promise! *wipes Anna's tears as Anna looks at her and smiles weakly because this is just one of those moments where she really struggles to believe in herself and her parenting skills*

Elliot: *could only hear mumbling behind the closed door but he could just tell that it wasn't a nice convo because he heard jasmine storm up the stairs* I'm ready! *smiles at Anna and grace, hoping that they aren't getting to upset with whatever was said. Luckily Anna composed herself and managed to smile at Elliot to reassure him that everything was ok as did grace*
