Taking chances

So much to remember

Jasmine: thank you so much for all of this! *smiles at Carlos then leans over to give him a quick hug of gratitude*

Carlos: *held onto jasmine so carefully like she was glass.* you're welcome! *lets go of jasmine and smiles at her*

Elliot: *was thinking about the big gift he was getting for jasmine. He isn't sure how to tell her about it because he knows that she doesn't remember how much she wished for it most of her life* umm there's one last thing id like to show you jazzy! I know you don't remember having the conversation with me about what I'm about to show you but i know that you'll still be happy for me... *wheels himself round to the other side of the table that jasmine and Santana are sat on. he smiles at them while they just look at him with puzzled expressions on their face's*

Santana: whats going on buddy? *was very interested to find out what Elliot was talking about because she cant think of what it could be*

Elliot: *sees that all eyes were on him* just watch... *he takes a deep breath and smiles at everyone one last time before looking down at his chair, making sure he put his breaks on*

*then he folds up his foot rest so he can put his feet onto the ground. Once he done that he heard gasps of shock. It made him smile because he knew that everyone has always talked about how much they wish Elliot could walk and experience all the fun things he missed out on in his childhood because his ability was restricted. After another deep breath in and out, Elliot finally pushes himself up onto his feet then looks at everyone to see his grandma crying while the other 3 had there jaws on the floor like they just seen a ghost*

Elliot: *smiles proudly as he manages to keep his balance, only being a little wobbly because he's still getting used to being able to walk* Surprise! *did jazz hands as he smiles from ear to ear*

Jasmine: h-how did you do that? *was very confused about what just happened because she doesn't actually remember how Elliot got himself in the wheelchair in the first place. She just assumed that he didn't have use of his legs for something pretty big*

Elliot: magic... *laughs a little because he knows he cant actually explain everything to her when she only just got out of the hospital today. It would overwhelm her too much and the last thing he wants to do is upset her*

Jasmine: *just excepts his answer for now because she knows its a big thing and it will take some time to explain it to her* thats awesome! *smiles proudly*

Elliot: *is happy that jasmine was still blown away even though she doesn't really understand why* I'm glad you think so! *smiles as jasmine smiles back*

Santana: *was sat watching her grandkids chatting with one another about what just happened. She couldn't help but cry tears of joy for Elliot finally getting to cross one of the biggest goals off of his bucket list* ...how? ...When? *makes everyone laugh because its obvious that the whole situation still hasn't sunk in yet*

Elliot: *sits back in his chair then wheels himself back over to the opposite side of the table from the girls* well a few months ago my doctor told me that there was a chance that i could learn to walk again. So i had an appointment with him shortly after that to talk about what needs to be put in place for me And from that point onwards I've had a physio appointment every week since. Then the week before last i finally felt strong enough to try and stand. then they encouraged me to take a few steps so i managed that with a little help from the nurse that had been there helping me. Now here we are! *smiles as he looks round the table and sees the proud smiles of everyone*

Carlos: *shakes his head in disbelief* you sneaky mother F-er! *laughs as does Elliot* i cant believe that you were out doing that when all along i thought you were just Netflix and chilling here with your girl all this time. *laughs with Elliot while Santana and Kelsey playfully shake there heads, not really wanting to hear about that sort of thing*

jasmine: *just sits there quietly, shying away into her own world because she is getting tired from all her socialising today. She taps Santana on the arm to get her attention* is it ok if i go and lay down for a little while?

Santana: of course you can sweetheart! *smiles sympathetically*

Jasmine: *feels weird going off on her own in an unknown place so she looks back at santana* can you come with me? *feels bad for taking santana away from everyone but she knows she cant do anything alone right now*

Santana: *can see the anxiety in jasmines eyes* sure! *smiles and gets up from the table while jasmine turns her wheelchair round*

Kelsey: *sees Santana stand up and jasmine next to her* where you ladies off to? *look at san because jasmine just shy's away*

Santana: I'm just gonna show jasmine to her room so she can lay down for a bit! ...ill be right back! *smiles back at Kelsey*

Kelsey: alright! Ill go to the car and get her gift and you can give it to her once she is ready? *smiles at Santana and jasmine because she sees that caught her attention*

Santana: *smiles back* thanks hun! *then she turns back to jasmine* come on you! Lets go get you all tucked up in bed *smiles as she leads jasmine down the hall to her bedroom*

*Jasmine wheels into her room and doesn't recognise a thing. that makes her get frustrated and upset with herself because she hates feeling like she is being such an inconvenience and waste of space to everyone*

Santana: *was sat on the bed just letting jasmine look around. Then she notices jasmine wipe her eyes so that worried san a little * whats wrong?

Jasmine: *turns round and wheels to the end of her bed where Santana was sat* i so sorry, I just don't recognise any of this. I really want to! *ducks her head and fidgets with her fingers as she mentally kicks herself*
