Velvet: But you're rich, why do you want to work?

YN: My motives are two fold. One, I need to do something, if I do nothing I get bored, and when I get bored I get into trouble. The second is that I need to impress someone.

Velvet: Someone's father.

YN: Yes, how did you know?

Velvet: These ears aren't just for me to look cute as all hell, but they also mean I hear a hell of a lot better than the regular person.

YN: So what else can you tell me that I already know?

Velvet: You are engaged to Glynda and you are worried about impressing her parents as you haven't met them yet.

YN: Correct, do you have any idea as to how I might be able to do so?

Velvet: Your money and station should be enough. But if you need work, I've heard that Ozpin is
looking for individuals with interesting experience who would be interested in lecturing or teaching

YN: I'll talk with him after we get back from the auto show.

The auto show goes on for the whole day. Velvet and YN have a wonderful time of it, YN even added two cars to his collection at auction.

After the show, the two return home and YN prepares for the next day.

YN is walking down the halls when he sees Ozpin and walks up to him.

YN: Ozpin, I have a question for you.

Ozpin: Ask away.

YN: I heard that you need professors. I am qualified and I need a job.

Ozpin: I that you served as a Colonel in the Great war I believe you have the experience to head up a new class.

YN: What is this class?

Ozpin: Officer training.

YN: You want me to train teenagers in the art of being an officer?

Ozpin: Yes.

YN: When Vale hasn't had an army for over five hundred years?

Ozpin: Yes.

YN: There is one main reason officers exist, to command. With no army there is no one to command.

Ozpin: You still call yourself an officer.

YN: Because I was commissioned and I still haven't been discharged due to the fact that no government official has bothered to discharge me.

Ozpin: But you have no one to command.

YN: And? Like I said, I haven't been discharged so I'm still an officer.

Ozpin: Will you teach the class, yes or no?

YN: If you can cobble together a force for them to command then yes. And it has to be a ratio of fifty soldiers for every officer.

Ozpin: Fair enough.

YN: And different uniforms from that of normal students.

Ozpin: Fine.

YN: And I get a classroom and office with substantial funding for the class.

Ozpin: It will be done.

YN: Alright, I'll do it!

Ozpin: You'll start on Monday.

YN: But it's Sunday?

Ozpin: That means you have two days to pick the students and to get together some material for the class.

YN: What class will the students be dropping?
