YN and Coco are walking down the street with Johanas.

Coco: So why are you going to Atlas again?

YN: The Atlesian government is putting on a military exposition, and Ozpin believes that it will be a good learning opportunity for my students.

Coco: Do you think so?

YN: I'm not sure, it would be beneficial to see the tactics and technologies of the most advanced force on the planet, but I'm wondering how much of it is just Ironwood showing off after my last campaign in which a few thousand ill trained and equipped troops with an officer corps of varying quality managed to advance a few hundred miles, and then siege an seize a city from determined enemy resistance in a matter of just over two months.

Coco: So you are unsure if Atlas's equipment is better?

YN: I'm not in any doubt that it is better, it's just that most of their troops are glorified policemen. They don't use their equipment to its fullest advantage.
However, they do have the Ace Operatives, highly competent and highly trained. But in military terms they are a scalpel. They are too few in number to be of any strategic use. The force I commanded is, in comparative terms, a sword. Not designed for surgical operations, but rather for powerful and deft cuts and thrusts against the opposition.

Coco: Well, so this is going to be a dick measuring contest between the two of you?

YN: I wouldn't say so, we have two different ideas on how militaries work and how they should be comprised. He sees the military as a hyper elite force of troops to be augmented by a heavily armed police force. I see the military as what it is, a professional force with many branches of service as each will assist the other.

Coco: And I'm presuming that these two ideas are different?

YN: These two models for an army are a complete departure from one another.

The two continue walking with Johanas trailing after them when they get to a little cafe.

Coco: I'm feeling a little hungry, let's get something to eat.

YN: Why not.

The two then sit down at a table and Johanas lies down next to them. Shortly after a waitress comes out and greets them.

Steph: My name is Steph and I'll be your waitress today, is there anything I can get you two today?

Coco: I'll have a latte and a pan au chocolate.

Steph: And you sir?

YN: I'll have a Cappuccino and a cinnamon roll.

Steph: Alright, they'll be out shortly.

YN: But anyway, I must ask what is your opinion on the possibility of Vale reforming the army?

Coco: I don't have one really. I mean I don't know much about it and it's not my area of expertise. If you want to know about the latest fashion I can tell you that, but I don't know much about the army.

YN: Well, I can at least thank you for not having an uninformed opinion.

Coco: Is that a compliment?

YN: I meant it as such.

Coco: You're odd.

YN: Thank you.

Coco: That wasn't necessarily a compliment.

YN: No, but I took it as such.

It is at this point when Steph comes back with their drinks and food.

Steph: Here you go, I hope you like it.
