YN: Well, I was expecting a ferry.

Weiss: Technically this is a ferry.

YN: A ferry boat.

Weiss: Well it's an airship.

YN: Either way, let's get aboard. Cadets, prepare for embarkation.

The students board the ferry and go through the usual checks at passport control. They are allowed to take their weapons with them as they all have their Huntsman's licenses, and everything was going fantastically, until it is YN's turn to go through customs.

Border Guard: And your Huntsman's license sir?

YN: My what?

Border Guard: Your Huntsman's license, you need it if you want to take your weapons with you.

YN: I don't have one.

Border Guard: I'm sorry sir, but I can't let you on this flight with your weapons then.

YN: Can I get on with my Army identification card?

Border Guard: What?

YN: It is a form of government ID and, with my papers I have it proves that I can own and carry these.

Border Guard: I suppose if you have your Atlesian Military papers it should be fine.

YN: Not Atlesian, Vale.

Border Guard: Vale doesn't have a military.

YN: I know it doesn't, but I still have my papers.

Border guard: Let me take a look then. (Looks over the papers) I'm sorry sir, these aren't recognized by the Atlesian Government.

YN: What about my Beacon teacher's card?

Border Guard: That'll only allow you to take one weapon, you have your sword, pistol, and dagger. I still can't let you on. Look, if you haven't gotten the proper documentation, have you at least been given any commendations by the Atlesian Government? I might be able to let you on then.

YN: Oh, if that's all. (YN then takes off his overcoat and reveals one of his neck medals.) Noble's Cross of the White Snows with swords, leaf clusters, and diamonds.

The border guard then stands to attention and salutes.

Border Guard:  Sir, it is an honor to meet you! If I might ask, when were you awarded it?

YN: I was awarded the cross, clusters and swords for work done during the Third Pacification, The diamonds were awarded later.

Border Guard: Wow! C-Can I hold it?

YN: Sure.

YN hands the border guard the medal and he starts tearing up.

Border Guard: I never thought I'd get to hold one of these, it's been a childhood dream to see one in person! (Hands the medal back)

YN: I'm glad I could help. Now can I please get on the ferry.

Border Guard: Of course sir. I'll let the crew know so that you won't have any trouble.

YN: Thank you.

YN then puts his weapons back on his belt and his medal back around his neck, as he boards the ferry. He then goes to the lounge where his students and family have been waiting.

Glynda: What took you so long?

YN: I don't have a Huntsman's license, and they wouldn't accept my Army identification card or my papers. I was going to have to leave my weapons behind, but I was able to get through after we had a little discussion about my military service.
