"Sorry, I'll just bail for the gas." I said while buckling the seatbelt awkwardly. Yeah. That's it.
"Why you didn't tell me na pupunta pala kayo rito?" He said without looking.
"You know, I'm always present in your family's event, duh." Napatawa pa ako ng awkward.
"And you didn't bring your car?"
"I don't drive in distant. I don't have driver's license yet,"
"Di bale, Ram volunteered naman." I added.
Hindi na siya sumagot. Kaya umiwas na rin ako ng tingin sa kanya.
He's so unpredictable. Hindi ko alam how to act in front of him, baka sa kanya katawa-tawa na ako.
"When are you free?" He suddenly asked, kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
"Why?" Manghang tanong ko.
Over my dead body, yeah I'm happy.
"You don't know how to drive yet?" He asked again.
"I know a little bit. Rejun taught me already the basics."
He nodded but I saw a ghost smirk on his face.
"What?" I asked.
"What?" He asked back.
My brows furrowed and think of what was just his reaction. Damn, I'm so whipped over hallucinating things about him.
"You smirk?" I pointed his face.
"What's with my smirk?" He answered.
"Do you like me?"
Tangina! Another rejection statement 101. I'm just poitning out his action!
"What's with your question?" He didn't look back, instead I saw how he tighten his grip on the steering wheel.
"You and Famie are back together?" I asked when I sensed that I might be rejected again. Masakit pa kaysa break up.
I wanted to have a casual conversation trying to hide my embarrassment. Gusto ko lang magtanong. Just for my acceptance that he didn't like.
Again he remained silent, the whole atmosphere seems so awkward, kaya tumawa ako ng bahagya.
