HIS POV 2/2
I saw how she's fighting over these. I saw how she trembled yet stood. I saw her in her worst ways. I saw how she's been masking, that everything is okay, when in fact she's not okay. It's like chopping herself into pieces. Her nightmares are also my nightmares.
I want to keep all her burdens, but how?
"I'm sorry." She said.
What?
"For what?" Nabigla naman ako sa sinabi niya.
"I heard he's in coma?" She said. I saw how she struggled to say those words. I knew mentioning that fcking bastard will triggered her traumas.
I closed my fist. Tangina, ba't siya mag so-sorry?
"It's not your fault, Caroline. Don't be sorry for that fcking bastard. He deserve to die." I said then hugged her. She's broke. Hindi ko alam paano ko siya aaluhin.
It's true, he deserve to be in hell.
Simple text everyday won't cost me time. I just wanted to keep on texting her, updating what I'm doing, where am I going and what should I do in my work. Even if she didn't demand everything from me, but I choose to keep her updated. I don't want her to feel being alone.
Lalo na nang magkatrabaho ulit kami ni Famie dahil sa isang project mula sa kanilang kompanya. Para na akong masisiraan ng ulo.
"Jai, what did you do behind our company?!" Mom asked. She even let me see some photos of me and Attorney Fernandez.
"I'm working on Dela Fuerto's case." I said coldly.
"What?!" She became hysterical.
"Ang tigas talaga ng ulo mo!" Umalma naman ako sa sinabi ni Mama.
"What Ma? Ano hayaan ko na lang siyang nakabulagta sa ICU without doing what is right? I'll make sure that he'll end up on jail." I said. Aalis na sana ako, but the next statement of mom made me to lose my emotion.
"You are going to be engage with Famie, if you want to keep that girl safe."
Kumunot ang noo ko,
"What?" I spat, "What did you do to her?!"
"Her mom is trying to bring this case to RTC, I won't let that happen. Jai, you know that our company is at sake if nalaman ng publiko ang tungkol sa mga Dela Fuerto! You know that better. The media is trying to uncover that incident! Kaya we need protection from Alonzo family!"
Tangina. Masisiraan na ata ako ng ulo. What the fuck is she doing right now? I remained calm, I just want to compose myself as of the moment.
