CHAPTER 28
Behind.
I woke up with a heavy heart. I don't know how to start my day. Ang tanging alam ko lang ay hindi ako masaya. Hindi ko feel ang lahat.
As the sun's reflection burned my skin, I get up and close the curtain. My digital clock says it's already 9AM. I took a bath for almost an hour. After taking a bath, I wear bunny loose-shirt and checkered pajama. I went down and saw Ice and Lola Luisa talking and laughing each other as they eat fruits that was served.
They felt my presence kaya I greeted them. I went directly to ref and get some fresh milk. I also open the cup board and prepare my cereals. Hindi ko alam kung bakit laging may stock ng cereals or di kaya'y coco crunch si Lola. Siguro para sa kambal?
"What's your plan today?" Lola Luisa asked. But I just shrugged.
Umupo ako sa harap ni Ice, dahil si Lola ay nasa center table. I did my rituals in the cereals.
"What's with the pajama, Sanchez? I thought gagala tayo?"
Tumingin ako kay Ice at umiling na lang.
"Gusto mo samahan kitang maghanap ng review center?" Ani ulit ni Ice. Isa rin yan sa mga goal ko, mag hanap ng review center. I need to restore my energy and cognitive capabilities.
"Hindi ka pa ba uuwi?" I asked back, ignoring what he suggested.
Napatawa naman si Lola, "Nako, pinapauwi mo na ba si Ice?"
"Ouch lang talaga, La." Ice said dramatically. Umirap na lang ako at nagpatuloy na kumain. Kaso ang ingay talaga nilang dalawa, talagang pati si Lola nadala na sa kaingayan ni Ice.
I stood and went to living room dala ang aking cereals. I turned on the TV and sit on the couch.
"Usod."
Tumingala ako sa nakasunod na si Ice.
"Ano ba? Doon ka nga." Mataray kong turo sa isang couch.
"Iniwan mo ako roon sa dinning." Sabi niya. Nagdala rin siya ng fruits. Iniwan niya si Lola or pinapunta siya ni Lola rito.
The whole day wala kaming ginawa, kumakain at nanonood lang. Kung hindi manonood ay tinuruan ako ni Ice na maglaro ng online games. Kaso nga lang nang malowbat na ang cellphone ko ay doon na ako bumigay. Ang init na kasi ng phone ko. Kawawa naman.
"Magbihis ka," Ice demanded. He stretched his arms. Kanina pa kami nakaupo sa floor habang naglalaro ng Pub-G.
"Bakit?" I said as I plugged in my phone's charger.
