"Well this is just so awkward."
Stacey commented as we sat down in a table with Clin and Leo in our left and the devil-Ric and well, on the other side of our table were Carlisle and the other girls in my class which used to be my friends.
Well they still kinda are, but they won't hold me. They decided to let me slip away because of Carl.
If they only knew.
"Shut up Stacey. Just- stay calm." I hissed under my breath.
"What do you want Grace?" I look up to see Ric smiling.
"I want a gun." I said. All eyes on me right now, especially Leo and Clin that were so silent since we got here.
Ric chuckles, "Humour me sweetcheeks."
"So I can shot you." I said through gritted teeth.
"Why?" Stacey asked, confused.
"This bastard ju-"
"Okay!" Ric shoved his hands on my mouth and I bitterly bit it.
"Ow! Geez Grace. That hurts! Like really hurts!" he says.
I rolled my eyes. I heard Stacey and the two guys laughing. Well, they quite enjoy the show. They should be.
"Sorry guys, these two just misses each other." Stacey laughed.
"Yeah, I never really thought Ric is immature." Clin high fived with Leo which is really not that interested-but interested in a way.
"Come on Grace-"
"I am not Grace." I rolled my eyes.
Carlisle used to call me Grace.
I sigh. In the corner of my eye I saw them watching us. I don't know if its me or is it just the atnosphere or the fate or the f.cking coincidence that we met up in the same fast food reestaurant, but something tells me that Carl is taking what he heard from us like it was nothing.
Narrian was looking at my eyes and whispered something to Jaclyn. Krissy was busy texting for what I could tell is her boyfriend.
"Hey Grace?"
Stacey kinda woke me from my deep thoughts. I shut my eyes close and let it all sink in.
"What's the matter?" Clin asked. I kinda was hoping that was Ric, but then we are but just human.
"Oh, I was just-phasing out. It is good actually, you should do that more often." I said in excuse.
Phasing out is good? What the hell Heather.
"Really now?" Stacey said in monotone, I shrugged in response.
"What is good?" Speaking of the devil. Ric slid down our food to our places.
"Oh, nothing. Heather was just phasing out. She said it will do good." Clin explained. Ric raised an eyebrow that which Stacey nodded in agreement while Leo, seemed uninterested by our little extravaganza.
"Phasing out huh." Ric commented. I nodded. "What is it called? Phasey Gracey?" Ric laughed.
I am so gonna kill you Daniels.
I regain my posture and dug nails into Ric. This guy reallt annoys the hell out of me. "No you dork. I'm smart enough to call it State of Grace."
Ric laughed that it was nightmare to me.
"Jesus please! Take the living, annoying, disarranged soul from this man Oh Lord!" I said while holding out my left hand and putting it above Ric's head.
This time, Leo, Narrian's gang featuring Carlisle and so are the other students occupying the small amount of area in this fast food chain is looking at me and Ric's horrible laugh.
"Shut up. Both of you." Stacey glared daggers at us which is probably the most scariest thing if you must ask me.
But the second was then again disturbed of a loud barf coming from a group of students in our side. The laughter was erupted, it was like a feast of togetherness-but of course, with a tiny drop of assumingness- if that's even a word.
"State of Grace huh." Leo chuckled.
"Thank God you spoke. I'm starting to think you don't like me that much." I murmured against my spaghetti.
"He was just a little shy Grace." Ric winked. I nearly choked on my coke.
"Here." Clin-being a gentleman that he is gave me a napkin.
"Thanks." I smiled.
"So tell me again, is it good phasing out?" Ric asked. Holding back his laughter- if he only knew how red he is right now. I can compare him to a tomato if he wouldn't mind. Which he'll mind by the way, that man is such an arrogant asshole.
Very arrogant and immature.
"Well, if you are talking about The State of Grace well yeah. It's good." I nodded. lies. "I mean, it could, however give you some flashbacks into your life that you want to understand."
"Oh like solving Math." I added.
Stacey grunted, "I don't like Math."
"So am I." Clin raised his hand.
Gosh.
We are like planning a visit from a priest.
"Who likes math?" I said victoriously. Ric raised his hand in opposition.
How could I forget.
"Me. I love math." He says shrugging.
I rolled my eyes, "because you're good at it."
"I am not good." he says hurt, "I. Am. Great."
"Yeah whatever."
"Are you guys like this all the time?" Clin asks. I wonder what is running through that head right now. Whether its him thinking, I am a brat and Ric's a slut.
Wow that rhymed.
"Yeah. They annoy each other so much that it would make you eat shit all the time." Stacey sigh.
They discussed mostly of the things Ric and The State of Grace. While me being me, spies Carlisle with Knorr, Jana, Jacklyn, Narrian and Krissy.
They are laughing. Carlisle is happy. Why shouldn't I be happy for him that he is happy?
Simple.
I cannot be fine considering he just left it there. Without a period. Without a falling action in our plot.
Narrian's eye met mine again and this time she is talking in her loud way as possible.
"No, stop it Jana! I am not assuming! I was just in love! Can't you tell?!" Narrian said with full drama, copying everything I ever tweeted.
They all laughed, but not Carlisle.
"Some people are just mean." Stacey whispered to me as she felt my heat from where she was sitting.
I better build my State of Grace if I'm dealing with a group full of hippo.
