I arrived in New York, saturday morning. It was the very first time I ever looked at the airport that made me feel a tourist. Not a citizen of New York.
I was dressed formally, boyfriend jeans, white t shirt and my white stilletos. In a world of fashion and if your name is one of those highly prized one, you must dressed in your finest. Sure I was a downgrader back there in the Philippines- it was a place where I could be myself, how I want myself to be. I made friends back there, friends that I want to keep.
I'm wondering how they took my leaving.
Just as I arrived the exit, photographers had swoon over me. Thank God, the securities gave me a heads up for further notice. My bodyguards arrived late, I was sure I gave a call earlier.
I slip in into a black SUV, my bodyguards said sorry for being late as they slip my baggage which is only 3 suitcases, I have my one right here with me.
"Where to ma'am?" the driver asked.
I turn my gaze from outside to him, "Penthouse."
He nodded.
I checked my twitter, which I haven't used for ten months and I deactivated the facebook page I used back when I was in the Philippines. I'm in New York right now, I have to live with it.
Mum messaged me earlier to come and meet her at her favorite italian restaurant. I thought about what Nina said to me, I lost my sparks when we moved out. I let other people downgrade me, used me and betrayed me.
My thoughts were cut by a phone call.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hello Heather Grace!" I move my phone away from my ear.
"Shut it Ric, I thought you are in London?" I hissed.
Ric laughs, "Yeah I am. I'm just thrilled that you came back to New York, I thought you will be staying in the Philippines longer than two years."
"My schedule has changed. Thank Goodness for Mum though, I've been invited to the Gala."
"Gala? Wow, big time. You're big time now eh?"
I laughed, "Big time? Nah, I'm just heading there. So how're things there in London?"
"Alright I guess , I mean Dad wants me to run his company in the near future. I must stay here for long."
"That's good Ric. I know you met someone there, I can't imagine you staying in for long." I chuckled.
"Well.. Yeah.. She's studying medicine, we met in the school I was in."
"What's her name?"
"Felicity. Felicity Swarm. She has gorgeous doe eyes, blonde locks and warm smile. "
Ric and I talked for a little more before I got to my loft. In any way, when I arrived it wasn't the same as I left ten months ago. Neat and precise won't even describe it. It was hell as I liked it. Black and White walls, white marble foors, black and white couches that fronted my 24 inch television. I even got a new set of kitchen.
I look around as my bodyguards set my suitcases in the side.
"Your mother said that she would renovate your penthouse miss." Tahlie, my 22 year old maid said.
I smiled, "Well she made it just fine."
My room was renovated of course, it wasn't messy anymore. It has black tiles and a new set of cushion. My wardrobe was consists of many outfits, from jeans to shorts, swimsuits, tops, dresses, shirts, shoes, sandals and everything. It felt like a walking mall. Every designers name was on it.
Channel, Louis Vouton, Prada and more.
I also have my make up station and a lot of make up.
"Wow." I said in awe. "This is luxury."
After an hour, I decided to wear an ocean blue dress that has a square shaped neckline and just above the knee, paired with my white Louboutin shoes. My hair was curled and I decided to play with my face- its refreshing because I don't have these in the Philippines.
The day seems so fine and so far, no photographers are bombarding me with questions which is great. My heels clicked against the elevator as I pushed 'lobby' in it. While waiting to arrived since I lived in the 30th floor, I decided to ring Mona and Karmina- my cousins, they are the same age as me and both of them are Victoria's Secret models.
I've never been into Model thing although my height is pretty fine, 5'9 but it wasn't like I want it before- I was more into drawing pieces and watching Discovery Channel is my other hobby. But now, seeing as I have this life. I probably gonna start showing off some skin.
"Hey cous? Its me, I'm in New York right now, ring me as soon as you get this message and please ring Karmina too, she has busy schedule so.. Yeah bye."
I throw my phone in my bag as the elevator stopped in 10th floor. As the door opens, I definitely saw someone familiar on that floor who just got off from the other elevator.
And I'm pretty sure that someone caught me looking at him.
