Marcus' POV
Everyone stayed silent as I brought up moving out.
"W-Why" Ariano asked.
"I only planned to be in this gang life for the next five more years max and at the moment I have nothing to stay for" Maria glared at me and I knew she hated me a bit for hurting her son's feelings.
"Besides... no one wants me. Isn't that right Nico?" I looked at him and if he felt as guilty as he looked that would be surprising.
"What is he talking about?" Maria looked towards him.
"I'll be out by the end of the month, yeah?"
"No" Nico said plainly and I stared at him with irritation.
"Why are you mad at each other?" Valentino asked and I laughed even thinking about it. If I didn't I would have just hit Nico again.
"I misinterpreted his words and acted on impulse which turned into a fight" He mumbled.
"And what did you do on impulse?" Ariano questioned his cousin as I walked towards the door where Isaac stood.
Nico stayed silent on that part.
"I'm leaving" I mumbled as Maria stopped me and pointed to the seat by the desk.
I looked at her blankly until her gaze changed. It changed to that look that says 'If you don't do exactly what I said just now I'll break your spine' And I sat against the desk.
My head was starting to hurt and I guess Nico punching me in the same spot I got hit yesterday didn't help. Ariano looked between us once more.
"Cmon Marcus, what Nico did couldn't have been that bad." His gaze then looked at Nico who still had guilt and me who was clearly still angry. "Or maybe it was, but you don't have to move out"
I put more pressure on the desk as I closed my eyes tightly for a few seconds. The pain became a dull thumping in my head.
"I really....really fucking hate you" When I opened my eyes I looked directly at Nico.
"Marcus" Lauren, Isaac and Valentino called my name simultaneously.
"I have to go," I mumbled, walking towards the door and this time no one stopped me.
I went straight into my room and took two painkillers leaving the open bottle on the sink counter. I probably need to ask Dr. Ross for more, I only have a few left.
I walked towards my bed laying down. I couldn't soothe the pain and it only seemed to increase with every move I made. I laid still falling in and out of sleep for what seemed like hours.
My breaths became deeper and slower as I sat up again reaching for my phone.
As much as I didn't want to, I called Ariano.
