Ariano's POV

I heard his screaming, how he begged them to stop. I saw tears in Nico's eyes as we heard a gunshot and then silence.

Blood dripped down my chest and soaked my white shirt. My hands were shaking and my whole body felt like jello as my heart beat thumped in my chest.

"I'm not bluffing either Niccolo. Give up." Adam told him and I felt sick to my stomach.

"Ariano... tell me one thing. Why do you blame Niccolo for your parents death? Is it not you who wanted to play the vigilante?" I didn't answer his question. I just stared at the floor ignoring him.

"Nico.... Only one of us dies....You promised... you fucking promised." I whispered and he himself was close to giving in.

"Ariano please just shut up and trust me... just this once." He looked at me as his eyes turned red.

"You killed Amaya.... You killed Marcus. It was you, how the fuck can I trust you?" I laughed dryly.

"Marcus was right.... You were and have never been capable of love." Pain spread across his features and I stared at him.

Good. I want it to hurt.

"Take Dinah next" He mumbled and she didn't put up a fight. They exited the door across the hall, opposite the one Marcus was taken out of and a few seconds later we heard a gunshot.

"You ruined my family. Our family." Michael finally spoke as he glared at his son. "You'll lose everything and for what? Because you want power? You had power."

"I didn't have a choice.... I did this for our family." He shouted at his father.

"Maybe if you put the gun down we can talk it out" I joked and he pushed the barrel against my wound making me groan.

"I already proved that Ariano is expendable. As soon as you shoot him, I'll shoot Verona and then you. So stop prolonging your death." Nico snapped and my heart dropped as I was forced to my knees.

"Fine. Any last words Ariano?" My heart palpitated in my chest making my whole breathing pattern change. I was panicking.

This is exactly how it was with my parents. With my mom. I was just as helpless as I was now.

The coldness of the air settled into my skin as I looked up at Nico but didn't say anything.

"Just get it over with." I mumbled. I looked back down to the floor and closed my eyes, preparing myself for my fate.

The only thing that was heard was a loud gunshot that echoed throughout the room and the feeling of warm liquid splattered against my back before a thud was heard.
