Niccolo's POV

I had passed out about six times during my time in his backseat. I had nowhere else to go and took a chance by showing up at his home.

When I woke up it was on a hospital bed in a private room. It took me a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the lights.

I felt the soft blanket covering my body up to my chest. My arms were left out and when I finally got the strength to turn my head I saw marcus sitting in the corner sleeping.

He always looked cute when he was sleeping.

Stop it Nico, you can't say stuff like that anymore.

I sat up slowly, barely feeling any pain. The lights had a slight glow to it and my mind felt groggy.

I guess they had just given me morphine. Am I high on morphine? Oh God.

"Marcus?" I whispered, laying back down and squeezing my eyes shut.

No answer.

"Marcus" I called out again and I heard him shift a bit as I reopened my eyes staring at the ceiling that twisted and turned in front of me.

"How are you feeling?" He asked quietly.

"I think.... I think I'm high." Marcus laughed softly.

"Yeah you are."

"I don't like it, everything is too......" I tried to find the right word for it.

"Euphoric?" I nodded my head.

His voice... I missed his voice, although now it sounds a bit deeper than before.

His hair was the same, short and messy. He gained more muscle, I'm guessing from lifting weights.

"What's so bad about feeling euphoric?"

"I just don't like the happy feeling knowing it will come to an end. That and this is my first time doing drugs. I have never taken morphine before." I admitted. His voice was a soft echo in my ears.

"Well I guess we both have yet to have some of our firsts."

"What haven't you done yet?" I asked curiously.

"Never been drunk before. Never done drugs other than weed and hospital administered drugs. Never showed up at my ex-boyfriend's house half dead and bleeding." He joked and I laughed.

"I've never bought an entire hospital before." I closed my eyes again.

"I've never met someone quite as stubborn as you." He mumbled.

I counted the tiles on the floor.

"I missed you too," I whispered.

I didn't look at him so I didn't know if he smiled or not.
