Chapter 6: I'm Afraid

Tiana's P.O.V.

I didn't spend time with my best friends Luke, Ashton, Callie and Michael. Today Callie and I planned to go get our nails done together and then meet up with the guys at the mall.

Callie's P.O.V

I was so happy to see Tiana again! We haven't hung out in what seemed like years ever since all the Calum and Holly drama. I'm already at the nail salon when a familiar face comes to sit next to me.

"Hey Tiana I'm so glad you could come," I said. "I just got started."

"Hey," she said quietly. I'm her best friend so I know when she's faking a smile.

"Are you okay?" I ask her.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she said, knowing I knew she really meant to say no.

We didn't talk much in the salon. After we got out I stood in front of her not letting her walk past me.

"Tell me what's up," I tell her with a serious face.

"I almost had sex with Calum," she whispered to me. I stood there in complete shock.

"Why didn't you tell me before? Why are you upset? Did Holly say something to you?" Before I knew it I started rambling many questions.

"Holly didn't say anything to me but I don't know, he didn't do anything to me so I don't know why it's bothering me so much," she says as tears start running down her face.

I feel bad for her. She's my best friend and she's upset. Maybe she doesn't know why she's upset but I'm gonna find out because it makes ME sad to see her like this.

"Well you said almost, what happened?" I said sounding really worried.

"I panicked, I got scared," she said crying. "I- I-I'm a V-VIRGIN," she shouts while crying at the same time.

"That's nothing to be embarrassed about Tiana," I say hoping to calm her down.

Tiana's P.O.V

What I love about my friendship with Callie is that I can tell her anything and she won't judge me or tell people. She keeps my secrets to herself and I can trust her. So yeah, I told her I was a virgin and she didn't laugh at me, which made me feel a lot better. But I can't tell someone like Calum that and expect him to act like Callie.

The truth is I really like Calum. But I can't show it and it hurts me. Callie understands that I'm in a bad mood so she cancels our plans with the guys so I can stay home and get everything together. Callie stays over for a couple of hours but then heads home.

It's been an hour since Callie left and I was watching 'Gossip Girl' when my phone buzzed. I assumed it was probably a text from Luke or Ashton but it wasn't.

~Text From Calum
Hey Tiana can we talk? Please?

I ignore his text, but my phone buzzed again.

~Text From Calum
Please don't ignore me I'm sorry.

~Text From Calum
Can we go for walk? Just me and you?

~Text To Calum
No it's almost sundown.

Even though I love to walk during the sunset time I didn't want to do it with Calum. I mean I did but I also wanna stay away from him. It's all so confusing I don't know what to think.

~Text From Calum
Too late. Look out your window :)

I looked out my bedroom window and there he was standing there. I wanted to go but at the same time I didn't want to. But I couldn't help it so I put on some dark red shorts, a black shirt and my white converse. I walked out the door.

"Hey," he said smiling at me.

"Hey," I said sounding a little annoyed. We started walking for a long time without talking. I finally spoke up. "Where are we going?" I ask pointing to the sky to show him it's getting dark soon.

"I have no idea," he said laughing.

"Are you fucking kidding me Calum?!" I shout in an angry tone. Not only was it getting dark but I was pretty much lost with a guy I didn't wanna be with right now.

We end up at some field. Calum takes my hand and runs across the field.

"STOP, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I shout as we are running. We run behind this building and see this mini waterfall. With the sunset behind it, it looked like heaven.

"Like it?" he asks me still holding my hand.

"I love it. It's beautiful," I tell him staring at it.

"Not as beautiful as you, Tiana," he says smiling. "Aw you're so cute when you blush," he says making me blush even harder. Before I could say anything he puts his arms around my waist and kisses me. We stand there making out for what seems like an hour. He pulls away and says, "I really, really like you Tiana," and I smile and continue to kiss him. Talking in between the kiss he says, "How....Do....you....make....me..feel......like....this?" I smile and continue to ignore his words and I just keep kissing him.
